Adventures by Disney with no kids

DH and I are considering an ABD add-on for our Mediterranean cruise. I've noticed some activities on the itinerary either specifically mention kids or seem to accommodate kids.

I guess I am wondering whether a couple of 50-something adults traveling with no children will feel that the ABD itinerary is more geared toward families with children.

If you have done the ABD add-on for your DCL Med cruise, can you please share your thoughts? Or if you've done a trip report, please tell me where to find it?

Thanks! :)

Here is a trip report, it is from 2010 when DCL went to the Med much earlier then they are now, I am sure summer trips have way more kids.

I have not done an ABD , but I did a Med cruise without kids. I did mostly DCL ADult only excursions and they were great, so that may be an option.

My parents (then late 50s/early60s) and i (mid 30s) did the ABD add-on to our Alaska cruise in 2011 ... It was awesome! We bonded well with the other families (all with kids in the 8 to 15 range) even though we were just three adults. The Adventure Guides were great at reading everyone and ensuring we all had the best time possible. Often we did things as a group but there were a few times when adults did one thing and kids another. It was a fantastic experience. I wouldn't let being childless stop you from doing the Med add-on ABD. Two disclaimers ... 1. Our group was small, 13 people if I recall (9 adults, 3 teens, and one younger one) plus the two guides. 2. My parents and I don't mind spending time with kids (I am a teacher and we all spend a lot of time with my sisters young boys).

I did the ABD add on on my med cruise in 2011. There were lots of people without kids. At times they did their own thing while the adults did something else . It is well worth it.

Thank you for the feedback, everyone! It is very reassuring to know that adults without kids can enjoy ABD (DH and I are both fine with being around kids, though ours are now grown). We have sailed on DCL without our children and never felt that it was anything less than a stellar experience. :)

I don't have kids and I would definitely do an Adventures by Disney by myself if I found one that fit my schedule. I've completed six Disney Cruises alone and I have reservations for three more so Disney Vacations are not only for kids or families but adults as well.

We were in our late 50s and did ABD with our Med cruise. There were a few children in our group; however, there was never an issue and many times the kids went off and rejoined all the adults later in the day. Highly recommend ABD Med add-on as we did some great unique excursion.

I haven't done either the cruise or any ABD trip but I'm just re-listening to the Dis Unplugged Podcast about Pete and Walter's Med cruise with Theresa where they did the ABD add-on. If I knew how to post links I would but the show title is '06-15-11 ABD Mediterranean Cruise'

That's the link to their shows
