Trails End Breakfast

Took my DD to Cape May yesterday for an early birthday celebration. She LOVES Minnie Mouse and my passes expired in March (might be a while before I can afford them again:( ) so I wanted to do the next best thing which was a character meal. She LOVED IT.. I loved the food.:cloud9: And so did my Boyfriend who I am still trying to introduce to the magic in little bits. He doesn't understand my obsession but goes along with it without complaint :confused3. He text me today telling me he as craving Mickey Waffles :woohoo:. So, of course I want to take advantage of his new found desire for ANYTHING that is Disney related :rolleyes1 (even if it is a waffle).

I know that Whispering Canyon has an all you can eat platter but is that the only other option of that sort aside from Trails End breakfast buffet? That ISN'T a Character Meal - can't afford that too often :sad2:. We live about 90 mins away so going for a day isn't an issue plus we have SeaWorld passes so if we couldn't find enough Disney stuff to entertain him we could head over there like yesterday.

Can anyone tell me if the food is as good as at Cape May? And does anyone know the CURRENT price for Trails End? I am seeing on wdwinfo that it is $13.99 for adults which I find a little hard to believe during the summer, and is it any lower (if it is more than $13.99) come the fall?

We obviously aren't hopping right back in the car for breakfast but would like to know so I can start working on some plans to return and maybe get him to find another piece of magic along the way. One step at a time with him :goodvibes

Also - it isn't that he dislikes Disney - he has just always had bad experiences there because of the people he has gone with. Hoping to change that perspective sometime this fall with Food and Wine.. plus the different perspective from an adult going to taking a kid that is fully in love with the magic. :wizard:

Trails End

Personally, I think the food is better than Cape May. I haven't been for BKFST in a while but it was under $20 and they do give an annual pass discount, DVC or Disney Visa discount.

The BBQ dinner is fantastic. WAY better than WC IMO especially since they changed their menu.

The only complaint I had about TE breakfast is they serve the way thin Disney bacon.

I agree that Trail's End is better. A great deal, pretty location, delicious food and never has seemed overly crowded.

Best breakfast on property, plus the cheapest buffet without the nuttiness of characters...!

Thanks everyone! I can now confidently tell him that it is a good place to go, and thanks for the Disney Visa tip, I always forget since there aren't many places that offer the discount (no ap at the moment :sad1: )

I never realized they have a disney visa discount do you have to pay with your card or just tell them that you have it, how much is the discount?

Trails End

is our favorite Disney breakfast buffet! We ate there last week and it was $14.99. WE love everything on the buffet and they have Mickey waffles. They have changed back to REAL bacon!

Go and enjoy!

Trails End was our best place to eat for breakfast and dinner last week. The food was good and hot. It is certainly priced right. We noticed at our other buffets food was not hot. Chrystal Palace was the worst.

Just looked up - It is a 10% discount for Breakfast and Lunch at Trails End using the Disney Visa. Never knew that - thanks for the tip - we will use next week!
