Are there mix classes without alcohol?

I don't drink, but did think it would be funny to learn some non-alcohol drinks. Are there eny classes for that?

I am not sure. There would be some mixology classes that likely wouldn't be able to offer non-alcoholic variations of the drinks--for example, a martini is typically a mix of gin/vodka and vermouth. Take out the alcohol, and there is nothing left!

Agree. A "mocktail" mixology class would certainly be a small niche market. I don't think it would have much of a demand on a ship. There are some drinks I'm sure where you could make them at home without the alcohol but on the ship I'm almost positive they are going to be making them with alcohol.

I think the spa host a wake up with smoothie event one morning... I don't think it's a demonstration, but you'll get to see them make a drink... But I agree, a non alcoholic drink event would be nice.

A spa class on how to make different healthy smoothies and juicing drinks would be amazing! I would love that!

They sell mocktails on the ship so I don't see why they couldn't do a class like this. I would be interested in signing up for one also. I think there would be a bigger response to this than some think.

I agree! There are a lot of reasons people choose not to drink, but still love a fun mocktail poolside on the cruise. I drink but my husband doesn't, so I wouldn't go to a class unless I knew others, just my personal preference. If they had a class that we could both go to - especially anything healthy - I would sign up in a heartbeat. Plus I'm sure the classes would be popular with the under 21 crowd too.

There are some cooking demonstrations -- and they are free (with samples).

I agree with some of the other posters. A "mocktail" class would be awesome.

I would go to a mocktail class yum yum

Count me in as someone who loves this idea!

I don't think there is any non-alcohol tastings. Even the chocolate tasting has alcoholic drinks to pair with chocolate. I think a mocktail tasting is a great idea!

I would sign up. I like pina coladas kid style :)

scrappinginontario 06-22-2013 12:56 PM

Another cruiser here who would be signing up for a mocktail class!

My suggestion: Contact DCL and make a suggestion that they consider adding a Mocktail Mixology session. Disney has been adding many more options for non-alcoholic drinks and wines in the past couple of years. Maybe, if enough people request it, they will consider adding a session, just to see how many people WOULD be interested. They can't add it if they don't know people are interested.
