Disney and IMAX to co-produce space movie...interesting thought...

So Disney and IMAX are for the first time going to co-produce an IMAX movie about the Earth from space...

http://www.deadline.com/2013/03/disn...ie-toni-myers/

Which instantly popped into my head...by the time it is done, digital projection for IMAX at the right resolutions should be ready...IMAX Dome (nee Omnimax) is a form of IMAX...and those screens in Soarin' are Omnimax screens...

Hmm....imagine floating around in space, looking at Earth...

Probably not. But it was an interesting thought...

~Thanks for the update, Doc! When I read this -- the first thing I thought of was Mission Space. This film would provide nice material if Disney ever decides to upgrade, minus the 3D, of course!

Soarin' through Space would be incredible.
Of course they'd have to sub out the orange smell for oxygen deprivation...

Knowing Disney and how they like to do things on the cheap... they would probably try to convince us that it smells like oranges.;)
