Shaoxing Steak vs. Kobe Burger at Yak & Yeti?
We have ADR at Y&Y and I'm trying to decide between the Shaoxing Steak and the Kobe burger. I've had one kobe burger in my life at a restaraunt in downton Charlotte, NC and it was the best burger I've ever eaten, but the Shaoxing Steak looks soooooo good. Anyone ever had either of them? Thanks.
I've had both and would give a slight edge to the burger. It was far, far from the best I've ever had, but still pretty tasty and I would order it again even though it's not really as good as you might expect for nearly $20.
The steak is a skirt steak, with all the good ("beefier" tasting than filet or sirloin) and bad (can be very tough, esp. if ordered medium to well) that comes with this cut of meat. I actually preferred the shrimp that accompany the steak. It's a good value, however, either OOP or on DDP.
