Mixology class

Do they do the Mixology class or any of the tasting classes on a 4 night cruise? Also, my husband doesn't drink at all. Would they let my husband join me or would we have to pay for him even if he was just watching? I wasn't sure if there was enough room for watchers.

Yes, they do many tastings on the 4 night Dream, including mixology. My DH did the whiskey tasting and I was able to just sit and watch. It might depend on how full the sessions are and how much space is available though.

Did a 4 night in January and they had mixology, martinis, champagne, tequila and margaritas, wine, cognac and whiskey tastings. Prices vary. Most are around $18.

You could have your husband pay and join you and just mix the drinks but have you drink them! Then you'd get twice the drinks! :rotfl:

I've heard the mixology classes and tastings vary a bit from cruise to cruise. So there's really no guarantee they'd let him sit and watch. I've heard from other cruisers that they've had guests join them just to watch or had spectators in their classes or tastings.

As for being enough room, there should be! I went to Mixology and Beer Tasting on the Fantasy. Mixology was in Skyline and Beer Tasting was in O'Gills. Both classes had about 20 participants. And the bars had plenty of extra seating. It would just be a matter of the CMs running the class or tasting allowing someone without a ticket to join you just to watch.

I did the Mixologie last week on my Dream 4 day cruise. There was 2 session - one on the Nassau day and the other on the "at sea" day. We were 5 participants in the class and there were no spectators. I'm not sure if he would of permited it. We each made a full sized drink, using proper techniques (mine was a mojito and my husband a B-52). We drank our own drink. The bartender made us each a B-52 and a sampler of a MaiTai and his signature drink. The cost was 15$ each.

It was nice!
