All you can eat lobster
I have been on other cruise lines, planning one for disney can you have seconds and thirds.. on LOBSTER during lobster night or do they look at you like a greedy fool... do they even have lobster night like other cruises
|
You're welcome to eat mine.....Yuckkkk....I have no want for that pre-frozen warm water poor substitute.Give me a fresh Maine lobster or nothin' at all. I would just say be respectful and I would imagine they would supply a reasonable amount.

ok but
can I have more if I want...
|
It's disney you can have anything you want!
If you want more you can gladly have more & they will not make you feel like you are being greedy! On our first cruise we were encouraged by our wait staff to have as much as of whatever we wanted.
It isn't Maine lobster like the other post mentioned. It wasn't what I was used to either & wasn't a huge fan of it. I'm sure it has a lot to do what area you live in & what you are used to. |
Going on our first cruise in a few weeks - Magic 8 night Bahamas. I love lobster and seafood in general. I loked at the menu's for each of the restaurants but I didn't see lobster listed as a dinner option. I've heard the menu changes a few times during the cruise. For example on pirate night the food is supposed to be different. :confused3
I would be interested to know if lobster is offered, when and if I can have more than one too. So yummy. |
I don't recall ever seeing a lobster night on board Disney in 7 cruises but I don't/can't eat lobster so I probably wouldn't have noted it. However, on our last cruise one couple at our table ordered 3 appetizers each, an entree and two desserts and the server never even blinked an eye.

When my brother went on his honeymoon on the Wonder in April, he ordered lobster. His waiter told him that he would want two. My brother thought he was joking and ordered two. Sure enough, two lobsters arrived, and my brother ate them both. So, I know you can get at least two and hopefully more if it's what you're really looking forward having on the ship.

Lobster tail is served on 7 night cruises and is served only on Captain's Gala night. It is not available on 3 or 4 night cruises.

On a different night, I couldn't decide what I wanted to eat for the main course and he just brought me both. It was AWESOME!! :cool1: One was a seafood pasta and one was a steak so I just had my own little version of Surf-n-Turf. There were other dinners that they brought us extra dessert (baked alaska night) or an extra appetizer..... it seemed to be the foods that they were super proud of, but I'm sure you can have seconds of whatever you want. They do get a little antsy about clearing the dining room to prep for second seating but we were never rushed or pressured. I hope you have a Magical time!! ps. Our cruise was the 6 night out of Galveston on the Magic last week, and like the poster above - Lobster was served on the Captain's Gala night. |

Lobster is available on Captains Gala on the 7 night cruises. I did see someone the night after on our first cruise get it. He probably made some comment about enjoying it or wanting it! :cool1: I know there was pasta on our last cruise that our son loved so the head server made it available for him every night.

I had a "stick in the mud" server on our last trip. He was really uptight and would get stressed out at small things. (My head server would roll his eyes at him and My assistant server made fun of him under her breath...) The team dynamic was weird.
Well anyway...on lobster night I ordered 2 for myself and 1 extra for DH and I to split. He tried to tell me "no," and said that I might not finish them. It was just the way he said it. I am small but I eat ALOT. We ordered 2 for me, 1 for DH and a meat dish... and finished everything...but it was just annoying since having been on other DCL trips, I've never been scolded for ordering food. So yes, you can order as many as you want in theory. But depending on your server, you might get some resistance. |

BAKED LOBSTER TAIL served in the shell with Lemon Butter, young Green Beans, and Oven-baked Rice. As mentioned, it's not Maine lobster (it's rock lobster) and as you can see it's baked not steamed. DH, who is a lover of lobster, doesn't really care for it (as a matter of fact, he says it's not good at all). But, you can order as many of them as you wish. |
We just got off the Fantasy yesterday. As a PP mentioned, they serve lobster tails at the Captain's Gala dinner. The tails they served were big, but were tough and had very little flavor. We are used to fresh lobster from Maine so were not impressed by these. When my DBF mentioned that his tail was tough they immediately brought him a second one which was marginally better. We both agreed that on our next cruise we will skip the lobster and order another entree. Throughout the cruise there appeared to be no problem with ordering as much as you liked for each course. They want you to be happy.
