Children's Free Dining
We will be traveling to WDW in Nov around the time frame that Disney typically offers free dinning. At the time of our travel our sons will be 2 and 1, therefore they are able to get into the parks for free. I assume they get their own ticket?
If that's the case, would they be eligible for the free dinning promotion as well? |
Nope, no free dining for kids that don't need a ticket. When we went with free dining we had a 2 year old. She got a "ticket" at check in but there was nothing loaded on it.

Children under 3 do not receive park tickets OR dining credits. There is a KTTW card assigned to them, but they won't have tickets or credits on the room account. This is the case whether the dining is paid for or is part of a free dining promotion.
If you want the dining plan for your children, you will have to list them on your room reservation as being 3 years old - of course, if you do that, you also have to purchase park tickets for them. |
we found it helpful when we had 2 kids under 3 at Disney to take them to character buffets or family style character meals (using free DDP credits)
at a buffet or family style meal the little ones get a plate too family style was better than buffets with little ones because of the difficulty with loading up plates with little ones in tow |
