Gratuities for a 5 night

Can someone please tell me how much the gratuities are for the 5 night. I have them for the 3 night.

Thanks!

The suggested gratuties are $12 per guest per night. So for 1 person for a 5 night cruise it would be $60. That breaks out to $4 per guest per night for your stateroom host; $4 per guest per night for your server; $3 per guest per night for your asst server; and $1 per guest per night for your head server.

Recommended tips are $12 per person per night.

What about gratuities?
Answer
It is customary to give gratuities in recognition of service, which you will be treated to in abundance aboard the ship. As a guideline, we suggest the following, but gratuities are always at your discretion:

Per Guest per cruise 3-Night 4-Night 7-Night
Dining Room Server $12.00 $16.00 $28.00
Dining Room Asst. Server $9.00 $12.00 $21.00
Dining Room Head Server $3.00 $4.00 $7.00
Stateroom Host/
Hostess $12.00 $16.00 $28.00
Dining Manager Your Discretion
Room Service Your Discretion
Palo Gratuity included
Vista Spa & Salon Your Discretion
Babysitting Gratuity not expected
Port Adventures Optional;
not included in port
adventure price.

They do not show a 5 night

PP suggested gratuities are $12, per guest, per night. No, they haven't done the math for a 5 night for you but I think the formula provided is plenty sufficient to figure it out?

I show it as 36 dollars a nite per person when u add the math up

cris0809 01-08-2013 01:16 PM

Your math is incorrect. The numbers you are adding up to $36 above needs to be divided by three to get a per-night rate.

All you need to know is that it breaks down to $12, per guest, per night.

Including your stateroom host, assistant, main and head servers. (So that's 4 crew members you are tipping.)

It is $60 per guest for a 5 night cruise.

No, what you posted is a total per guest PER CRUISE. Not per night.

What math?

The $12 per night breaks out to $4 - room host; $4 - server; $3 - asst server; 4! head server.

For a 5 night cruise 1 guest would pay $60. The break out being $20 - room host; $20 - server; $15 - asst server; $5 - head server.

OP would need to multiply how many persons are in the room times the number of nights times $12 to figure out total amount for tipping for them.

Omg are u serious..... I have been figuring it out as per nite so I was saying 36 per nite per guest .... I was way over doing my budget.... Thanks so muchhhh for pointing this out since there is 6 in my family.. I can now lower that part of budget.... Thanks again.... :)

cris0809 01-08-2013 01:21 PM

12 per night x 5 nights x 6 passengers = $360
