Dining Question
Hello -
First Disney cruise for us! Dining question: are the dinner restaurants chosen for you or can you pick which one each night?

You are assigned to a dining rotation. That means you are told where to eat each night. It is set up so that by the end of the cruise, everyone has the same number of times in each restaurant and has seen all the same menus, with one "extra" on a cruise that it not a multiple of 3 nights. For instance, on a 7 night, you'll be in each restaurant twice and one three times.

You are assigned to a rotation for the dining rooms. It will be on your KTTW card. You will be in each MDR at least once for a 3/4 night, and at least twice on a 7 night.

Great -- thanks!

You are assigned restaurants for the evening, but you can try any of them for breakfast and lunch. I can't remember if only two are open per day--think thay might be the case.
You also have the same table number in each restaurant. When you enter you will be asked your number and shown the way the first night in that restaurant. If you aren't happy with your table assignment it won't hurt to ask if there is a possible change for another night in the same restaurant. We had table 124 and were sat by the servers area in both Enchanted Gardens and Animators. Not thrilled with either, but we couldn't do anything since our cruise was full. Much nicer table in Royal Palace.

Correct--breakfast and lunch, you look at the Navigator to see what is open when and then choose where you want to eat. You can eat 6 meals a day if you wish--no one is counting! Only dinner has an assigned time and place.

You are assigned a rotation for the MDR but you also can choose to eat at the adult restaurant/s or the pool deck restaurants. Or all of the above.

You also have to option at dinner for the cabanas (new ships) or topsiders/beach blanket buffet (classic ships). It is the buffet restaurant for breakfast and lunch but at dinner it is a sit down a la carte type meal with a selection from the main dining room. It is actually kind of a relaxed more quiet meal since I have never really seen it busy. You can also choose to have room service as it is included in your cruise fare as well.

Adults can also choose Palo or Remy, for an up-charge.

All times are GMT -5. The time now is 08:38 PM.
