B2B Rebooking Discount? Can this be done?

My DH and I are going to be on the Dream at the end of this month, and we were looking at rebooking while on board so that we could do a B2B on the Dream in January 2014. (combining a 3 night and 4 night)

With the new rebooking discount restrictions onboard, are we able to do this and get the discounts? (10% off deposit and OBC) :confused3

I know there is the newer restriction of it only being for 2 staterooms on the same cruise, but I was wondering that if these were linked, would the discounts still count for both?

We've never done a B2B before, and I was just curious.

Thanks in advance!

I can't say for sure, but I think it would be discounted as being 2 separate cruises, and I do have experience with that.

While on-board Nov 2012, I booked for March 2013 using the full discount (% off and OBC). I could book for other cruise dates at a reduced discount of only the applicable OBC, and booked 2 rooms for myself and one for my Mom at OBC only.

I believe you'd be able to book your first cruise at % off and OBC, and the 2nd one at OBC only, but perhaps someone else has specific experience with this in case there's a loophole for B2B!

This is GREAT to hear! Thank you so much. :cloud9:

Hopefully we won't encounter any issues then.

I hear that the rule has changed recently. I understand that now you can get OBC for both but 10% discount only for one.

This was the most recent OBB rule change (not so recent, it's been many months now) but the rules for booking a back to back are a little different. They will give you both the 10% discount and the OBC for both cruises on a back to back. But if at any point in the future, you change the dates on the cruises and they are no longer b2b, you lose the discount on one of the cruises.

A B2B cruise is the only exception they will make to the single cruise date rule that started in 2012.

Thanks everyone for your feedback.
Good to hear that this will be possible!
