Gift ideas for 7th grade almost 13 year old?
I'm stuck on a gift for my nephew....we only see them a few times a year. He's an active kid---but not really involved in any organized sports or activities, etc. When we see him, he is mostly either caught up in his video games or outside running around......
Any ideas? I'm stumped! I have girls--so this is way off my radar..... |
Cash and gift cards maybe a small nerf gun to go with it
|
I have a 13 year old son- my suggestion is an I Tunes card or Gamestop gift card.
|
My 8th grader has the following things on his list:
walkie talkies remote control car (or any vehicle) game stop gift card ebay gift card (this is actually a huge hit, we've started giving it as our "go to" gift for birthdays etc . . . ) fun hat |
the list from my 6th & 7th grader
headphones (because they always break) xbox gift card game stop gift card fleece-lined hoodie adidas slide sandals science kits (growing crystals, mining gems, etc) They aren't into legos or nerf anymore, so it's really hard to shop this year.... |
Do you have a 5 Below in your area? A gift card for there is a hit for this age group!
|
My nephews loved the lego sets at that age. (The ones with the small lego's where you build something specific.)
|
remote control helicopter
rocket kit GCs to fast food places or movies |
DS15 at that age wanted gift cards or wanted Tshirts for his favorite sport team or the Underarmour, Nike ones

I would say the gift card for any gaming place since you said that is what he does. Maybe ask his mom if he is looking at a certain game.
The helicopter thing fades fast , as does remote control cars I find. Or they break because boys are rough on them. |
Gift card to Gamestop as non specific.
Or ask mom if he plays Skylanders? Maybe she can suggest ones if he collects them. If you want to get him a specific gift you are going to have to ask when it comes to electronics and video games. We finally hammered down what my brother's stepson is into. The mom told us "craft things". We asked my brother and he said he is collecting Lego City. YEA! So now we are on the hunt for that gift. |

What's your budget? I would say a hoodie and a gift card.
Kohls and JCP has nice nike and adidas hoodies. Then add a gift card like itunes or game stop. Another idea, but may be hit or miss, is an Axe gift set. I think nearly every boy in 7th grade probably got one last year. Do you know what he plays outside? Maybe a new basketball or football if he plays those with friends. |
