Feeling the Blues!

It's not I have just got back or anything but I am having SERIOUS Disney blues! I have been writing a lot of my Trip Report lately and just going through the photos and memories is making me want to go back so much! Come on folks! Cheer me up! :(

ah, your trip report should make you happy remembering the great times you had, not the other way round! :confused3

just focus on all magic and look forward to doing it all again.

whether it's next year, 2 years or even 10 years time. :goodvibes

in the mean time, entertain yourself with other tales on the dis, and santa comes next month! :santa:

I am the same... however, Christmas is next, then I know I have 12 months until the next (and last for a long time, not my rules!) trip with 11 other people. Which of course means more planning. Even though my family don't do planning!

I like to watch our videos, others trips and read trip reports, look at our pictures, find a picture to frame and listen to Disney music! It drives my DBF insane, but I cant go cold turkey haha! Xxx

I had to stay away from the boards for a year after our trip last summer because I knew we had a 3 year break, so I totally understand!
When we get to February it will be the halfway point between our two trips, and only a few months away from booking the next one - that will almost be a relief, though this will be the last for a long time :(

I am struggling too. We got back three weeks ago and I am supposed to be writing a trip report but this is the first time I have been able to bear coming back on here so I am only just starting to think I might be able to face it.

What's making it worse is we are supposed to be going next summer (see ticker below) but we have faced up to the fact that we just have to have some work done around the house (believe me - we have put it off long enough because of all the WDW trips!!) and so are going to defer our holiday until summer 2014. :worried:

I was talking to my husband tonight and trying to intellectually work out why I feel so bad. On the face of it this is ridiculous! I have a nice life with lots of lovely family and friends, Christmas is coming up and I am hoping to start an exciting new job next year - lots to live in the moment for.

It's not even that I miss being on Splash Mountain or Spaceship Earth etc and can't wait for that for an extra year. Rather, in a nutshell, it all comes down to the feeling I get when I'm there. I get this happiness/life is perfect/inner peace thing that I don't get anywhere else ever. And that's it. That's what makes me so sad to not go next year - just that feeling.

Just before we went last month, someone told me I was really lucky. I agreed and then said that I didn't just feel lucky to be going to WDW in the coming week but that I felt lucky to have found somewhere that fills me with such happiness every time I'm there (not to mention all the anticipation as the trip approaches) as many people never have anywhere they love that much and they will just never know what they are missing. And the penance for that happiness is feeling just like I feel now when I'm not there. :(

I'm struggling too - we came back earlier this month.

In May when we came back I was fine - I knew we had October all booked so only 5 months to wait plus coming back to the better weather and lighter nights.

I'm part way through my dining review in an attempt to chear myself up.

What a lovely way to put it x I completely agree and feel the same way. We had a 7 1/2 year gap due to having children / child care etc and then my parents took us to celebrate their retirement. That was our first trip with the children and I can't tell you how excited I was to be there, lol. We go again next August but know I will have to work hard on dh to go again in 2015 x

Ive been away from the Dis Boards for a good few months for the exact same reasons, but i just had to have a little sneaky peak today as its been such awful
depressing weather. It could be three years for us too:sad:

I can barely post at all since my last holiday over Easter 2011. It's only because we are now about to hit our 100 days to go milestone I can feel able to come back on here.

It's so sad when it's all over isn't?

kittykitty87 12-02-2012 05:14 AM

Wow, so many people feel the same! I am glad I'm not the only one! I didn't even know so many of you had replied as I hadn't been on here!

I don't think we will be going back for at least 4 years :( So I will just have to ride it out!

Getting on with the trip report is making me happy though, hope those of you that have read it enjoy it also! For now though I will have to just think of the memories of our trip! :)

We made 2 trips this year (feb and oct) so it's even more difficult for us to cancel our 2013 plans. Looks like we won't be going back until fall 2014 or even 2015 ... money issues...

we try to look on the bright side and convince ourselves that it could be a good thing, since the new MK areas will be fully open when we go back, but we still feel rather depressed.

There is absolutely no way we can wait that long to go back to where we call "home"
Finding a way to save money to go back ASAP has become an obsession.

We have the Disney blues

our friends think we're silly, I guess they don't understand what WDW deprivation feels like ...

With moving out, an engagement party and a wedding to plan, it's going to be a while until we go back too. I've got 3 work colleagues going to Florida in 2013 so it's going to be tough! :(
