2 rooms - online check in
 

I am wondering if I do online check in if it will mess up the possibility of having the 2 rooms adjoining / connecting -

The reservations are for 3 adults - 1 in one room and 2 in the other - all the package information has been mailed to my home address and on the packets it lists my name and then on the second line of the address area it lists the name of the registered guest.

EXAMPLE: ROOM 1 JOE SMITH
JOE SMITH
123 STREET

ROOM 2 JOE SMITH
SALLY WHATEVER
123 STREET

I had asked for the reservations to be linked as travelling together but I have never had my name on both reservations when I have asked them to be linked before .

If I do the online check in (the other party will not be putting a credit card down) for both rooms will I have a good chance of getting the rooms adjoining or connecting or should I just wait until we get there and all of us check in at the same time at the same reservation window.

Online check in has absolutely nothing to do with room availability.

How busy the resort has everything to do with room availability.

No, it won't mess up anything that might be possible in terms of connecting/adjoining. Also, when you pick up your packet, they should be able to tell you if you got connecting rooms, and if a room change is possible.

They do not tell you the exact rooms until they are available, but one can tell the CM you are willing to wait for connecting rooms if. They are available.

I arrive on a very busy check out day and tell the CM I am willing to wait for my room. Takes the pressure off them and gives you a better chance.

Yes, I didn't mean to be unclear. They won't give you room numbers, but can answer the question "Are our rooms connecting?"
