Combining offers

We have just paid off our March 1 cruise, which was booked using our on-board booking discount. Today Disney announced KSF on our sailing, which with today's prices saves us nearly 10 percent over what we have already paid.
I'm guessing I would need to cancel and rebook to take advantage? If I do that can I combine the on-board discount with the KSF, which will save us another 10 percent?
Can I do any of this? I have an email in to my TA (Tracey at DU is wonderful) but she's away for a long weekend and I would love to justify all the time I spend on the DISboards to my husband.

Sorry, I don't have an answer on combining, but I too am curious if you could combine a KSF with OBD, we are on the Dream in 2 weeks and I wondered if we could book a KSF and get 10 percent off.

I believe it is either or.....from what I understand you can't combine an OBD with another promo like KSF.....I am sure others will post their experiences...I am not 100% on this.

Figure out which one yields you the best discount.

Most of the time special offers like KSF are "new bookings only" and onboard rebooking discount can never be combined with any other deal. So the answer is that you cannot combine them.

What you can do is to cancel your onboard booking (or move it to another date farther out) and rebook your cruise at the KSF rates if they provide a better overall price (after including the price and onboard credit).

I'm thinking we'll re-book with the new offer. Our savings would be $289 using KSF on a new booking over the existing booking with the OBD. Tips for an 8-day equal $288, seems like destiny, no?
Can I then use my OBD for another future cruise?
By the way, I can't tell you how grateful I am for all the wonderful people who use these boards and share their extensive knowledge with everyone else. Thank you for helping others.

You can MOVE your existing reservation with the onboard discount to another date and then do a new booking for the KSF. Whether you can retain your current cabin depends on how cooperative the CM you talk with is or how efficient your TA is. It can be done, but they have to change the original and immediately snap up the cabin for the new booking before someone else sees it and grabs it.

We had our TA do a 3- way call with dcl and I released the room to Disney and then we re-grabbed it while on the phone.
I think that is the best way to ensure the exact cabin.
Good luck and congrats!!!!

Oh and I would call the agency and see if anyone can help, who knows how fast these will go?

Just heard back from the TA. We'd also have to give up the $200 OBC, forgot about that. We'd barely save anything if we lose that. I think we'll just leave things as they are.
