Hi!

I was referred here by Sparks after asking her some questions. I have been to disney before but never more then a day (grew up in tampa and tallahassee fl). This time we want to stay on property and will have a autistic toddler with us so it will be a bit more challenging. We are fine with the campground.

We plan to go next may (dates arent ironed out yet). We would like to stay on property or somewhere with a good shuttle back and forth. A meal plan would be great! We are contemplating with the time of year getting the water park package add on but my husband isnt sold since the hotels/campground has a pool.

This is also going to be a birthday trip (sons 3 year but its not his actual bday and husbands but also not his actual bday)

Cant wait to get involved here and learn how to do our trip the cheapest and best!

This is a great place to start with your planning. Planning can actually be alot of fun. Staying on property is great, there is a price range for any budget. If you are wanting a food plan, there are different food plans as well. Certain times of the year you could luck into free Dining. Your not going to see everything, just make a "must do" list and start there.

Also make sure you get your little one a Birthday Button, it doesn't have to actually be on his Birthday, he can wear it the whole trip!!

Thanks!

We are planning a 7 day trip because my husband missed out alot when we went to Magic Kingdom (his first trip and we only went one day after a BAD flight from NC)

I know Magic Kingdom, Epcot and Animal Kindgom are our MUST SEES. Hollywood Studios (IIRC the name) isnt THAT big a deal to us this time around.

Welcome to the boards!! If the shuttle (Disney transportation) is important to you, check out the boards for the campground. From what I hear you have to take one bus to the resort, and then transfer to another to get around the resort. I am not an expert by any means on the campground, but someone should be able to direct you.

My family will be renting in the campground. Not sure if you are a tenter or plan on renting a camper or have your own. FWC, from my research, seems to be a GREAT place to camp. They have a Chip And Dale Campfire sing along every night with movie afterward. I'm sure your son would enjoy this. Seating is provided but u can also bring ur own (I know some autistic children like to be more to themselves, not sure if this applies to your son).

The camping thread is a GREAT place to get information and the DISers there will be glad to help with any information.

There is actually a marina at the campground with boats that ferry U to Magic Kingdom. The campground has inner bus transportation as well as WDW bus transportation. I know there is more info on this in the camping forum as well people who know more about it.

Good luck! I would give u some URL's but I'm on mobile.

Hi there! Sounds like you are planning a wonderful trip. If you were interested in staying in a hotel room as opposed to camping and still wanted an inexpensive trip, be sure to check out the value resorts. Pop Century is my favourite. It has an easy-to-use bus service to all the parks and Downtown Disney (as do all the resorts).

I wouldn't rule out Disney's Hollywood Studios. It seems you have lots of time to visit the parks and they have a number of attractions that seem to really appeal to younger children including Disney Junior. I guess it just depends on what your little guy is into.

As someone else mentioned, be sure to get birthday buttons for the birthday boys and don't worry if it's not the actual day. Be sure to note on all your dining reservations as well as your hotel reservation that you are celebrating their birthdays as well. You never know what special attention they may receive.

I hope you find the information that you need here. I'm sure you're trip will be awesome!
