Decorating Your Apartment Questions...

This may have been asked and answered somewhere but I can't seem to find it. Regarding the apartments. Are you allowed to hang things on the wall? My daughter was told thay were not allowed to hang TV's, pictures, posters shelves and that sort. I know the apartments come with the basic furnishings, but are you able to purchase additional furniture (i.e. Book Case, Shleving units). Is there a utility closet where you can store your own broom, mop and vacuum? If there are any Alumni CP's who can provide that information I would appreciate it so much. Thanks in advance.

Hi! Alumni from Spring '11 here. Waiting to hear on my application for this Spring.

*You can't hang things on the wall. At all. I'm emphatic about it only because there WILL be inspections and that's one of the big ones they keep an eye out for.

*People may purchase additional furniture for the apartment as they see fit, however any purchased furniture (book shelves, etc) have to be moved out when they move out.

*I can't speak for Chatham or Vista, but I know many if not all of the apartments in Patterson do have an extra closet which can be used to store brooms, mops, vacuums, etc.

My sister lived in Chatham for both her CPs and I remember they had an extra closet that they put all that good stuff. And in her second CP they also put a fridge in there. :]
