Does anyone here also currently have a Disney Diet?
I am a short male at 5 ft 5 (169 cm), and my weight is currently 132 lb. (60 kg). I know I am not morbidly obese, not even overweight, but I do try to become 120-123 lb. before my disney trip Aug 20th. I do want to look good in my swimwear, and I want to be able to eat delicious things without thinking about my weight getting too high.
Of course, for any normal person this should be peace of cake, but I do HATE exercising, and I love candy and unhealthy food. I also have a history of weighing 180 lb.
I've sticked to the diet since monday, and I am ready to make my life a little bit lighter.
My diet consist of small portions of food, and huge amounts of fruits and vegetables.
Anyway, am I totally crazy, or does anyone else also currently follow a "Disney Diet"?
I wouldn't say I was doing it just for Disney but I have also increased my amount of Fruits and veggies trying to eat a HUGE salad everyday for lunch and cutting back on animal products in general. My main reason is to help lower my blood pressure. But it's been so hot lately I've been eating ice cream so that's not helping I'm sure :(
Yeah, those pesky carbs that mess up everything. :P
I have a love affair with chocolate, but since last weekend we have been separated.
I'm waiting until after my trip because I'm afraid I'll gain anything I lose back at WDW!
Our trip is not until october, but we started doing the portion control thing, cutting out soda, and exercising about 4 times a week has made me a little bit trimmer. I also try to avoid most foods with high fructose corn syrup in them.
I am on another pre Disney Trip Diet !
Phase 1 was completed for my visit to Gay Days at the end of May 2012.
It went pretty well, I started eating better and hitting the gym in April and May of 2012. At the very end of my Gay Days trip, I bought a bathing suit (board shorts) with a little Mickey on the leg, about 1 1/2 sizes too small for me to wear, in hopes it will provide me incentive for my next Disney Trip.
I lost around 15 lbs for this Disney Trip.
Phase 2, Continuing the diet since Gay Days, hitting the gym, and trying to eat a lot less carbs, and more greens and healthy proteins like steamed fish and grilled chicken. Again trying to lose more weight and tone up for my next Disney trip, which is in the end of October. I have three more months left to see if I can fit into that new bathing suit., and lose an additional 20 plus pounds.
When I go to Disney with my friend Jeff, we always pledge that the next time we return to Typhoon Lagoon, we will look as good as the lifeguards there. Sadly we always end up indulging in all you can eat Disney Dining Restaurants like Ohanas. There is always next time ! Keep Trying.
Ramping up the diet for trip
Since the beginning of the year I have lost 35 lbs. I am shooting for more.
Honestly because two years ago in July I came away from a day at Disneyland/ California Adventures with my knee hurting. Disneyland / California Adventures 2012... awesome with energy through the roof.
So on that bombshell, I am working to exceed that awesome feeling and boundless energy.
Disney trip early December so I have time but as everyone understands... events with goodies in between.
With an overall total of 45 lbs lost.. I would love 55-60 lbs lost.
Congrats :) I'm down about 20 lbs myself. With about 5 to 10 lbs more to go
