"There’s NO Sleeping in Disney!” SURPRISE - The Frumps Are Back Again! UPDATE 1/13

:mickeyjum This is the Moment We’ve All Been Waiting For…. :mickeyjum
You’re Not Gonna Want To Miss This!

WELCOME EVERYONE! Whether it’s your first time visiting, or you’re following me on my fourth trip report ever, thank you SO much for stopping by! You’re not going to regret your decision on investing your time into this adventure.

Why you ask? Because this is one of the craziest, frumpiest, and sleep-deprived trips that ever occurred in Walt Disney World. You’re going to be encountering some late nights, early mornings, constant food consumption, and an extreme overpopulation of deer faces. Seriously, entertainment does not get much better than this!

Now before we begin, we need to do the traditional cast list introductions.

Jess

http://img215.imageshack.us/img215/166/dsc0209s.jpg

Why hello, everyone! My name is Jess and I will be your storyteller… your tour guide… your Disney obsessed extraordinaire! I’m here to bring you some of the top frumpiest moments in all of Walt Disney World.
I am currently a freshman in college and I am doing a dual major of Graphic Design and Integrated Marketing. As I said, I love all things Disney! I have been to Walt Disney World 20-25 times. It is like my second home, and it is (quite obviously) my favorite place on earth.
I love everything about it – the atmosphere, the characters, the food, the music, the smells…. Seriously, nothing in the world will ever take its place in my heart! Some of my life goals are to do the Disney College Program, be a character at Walt Disney World (preferably Jasmine), and ultimately end up working for Disney in some way.
This trip that we took in August was one of the most special and unique Disney Adventures I’ve ever experienced. I don’t think I’ve ever been so excited for a vacation – and it definitely lived up to my expectations! It was something that never happened before, and probably could never be duplicated. I’m so excited to share the story with you all!

Let's go over my Disney Favorites:
Favorite Park: Magic Kingdom
Favorite Magic Kingdom Rides: Space Mountain, Splash Mountain, The PeopleMover, and Mickey's PhilharMagic

And My Travel Companion.... Nat!

http://img571.imageshack.us/img571/9493/dsc0807q.jpg

Nat (her full name is Natalie) is one of my best friends in the entire world. You probably heard me mention Nat multiple times in my other trip reports, even though she has never really been in them! (Except the bread pudding real life update.. but that's a minor detail.)
Anyways, You are going to LOVE HER. She is one of the most genuine people I have ever met in my life. Similar to me, she has a positive outlook on life, she’s always happy, and she loves Disney. Toy Story is her FAVORITE. She started hanging out with Kristen and me so much last year, and we COMPLETELY converted her into a Disney lover. (I think it was the Disney Food Pictures that really did her in! hahaha) She always went to Disney World when she was a kid, but thanks to us, she now appreciates and loves it so much more!
This was the first time she’s been to Disney in 2-3 years, and her family is very laid back in their touring plans. So this was a totally new experience to her! It felt like we were showing her everything the first time! I’m so glad we got to take Nat on her first commando Disney Vacation!

Here are Nat’s Disney Favorites:
Favorite Park: Magic Kingdom
Favorite Magic Kingdom Rides: Splash Mountain, Space Mountain, Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin
Favorite Epcot Ride: Soarin’
Favorite World Showcase Country: Italy
Favorite Hollywood Studios Ride: Toy Story Mania and Tower of Terror
Favorite Animal Kingdom Ride: Dinosaur
Favorite Disney Princess: Snow White
Favorite Fab 5 Character: Donald Duck
Favorite Winnie the Pooh Character: Tigger
Favorite Disney Movie: The Fox and the Hound and Snow White
Favorite Pixar Movie: Toy Story – All three of them!! (Nat is QUITE the Toy Story Fanatic)
Favorite Park Music Loops: Main Street Music
Favorite Disney Songs: Woody’s Round Up, You’ve Got a Friend in Me, When You Wish Upon a Star
Favorite Day of the Trip: Day 4

Kristen

http://img593.imageshack.us/img593/2864/dsc0656z.jpg

If you read “The Port Report: Frumpin Around the World with the Bathrobe Princesses (:," "SUCK IT UP BUTTERCUP! It Builds Character and Strength!" A July 2011 TR," paid attention to any of my installments in the other two trip reports, or just saw Disneyfreak616 posting all around Disboards, you know who Kristen is!!
Kristen is an energetic Disney enthusiast, and Disney World is her happy place. I can’t believe that I found someone who loves Disney just as much as I do! Kristen loves all things frumpy – Schoolbread, the Monorail, Figment, Stacey, Muppet Vision, Splash Mountain… I could go on and on. Her favorite princess is Ariel, and she became a pin trader on this trip. She actually had NO IDEA we were going to show up on her family vacation, but I will explain that more later. One of her mottos is: THERE'S NO SLEEPING IN DISNEY! And she did not let us forget it on this vacation!

Here are Kristen's Disney Favorites:
Favorite Park: Magic Kingdom
Favorite Magic Kingdom Rides: Splash Mountain, Jungle Cruise, Haunted Mansion, Peter Pan's Flight, Mickey's Philharmagic
Favorite Epcot Ride: Maelstrom...DUH. Just kidding! Soarin'
Favorite World Showcase Country: The United Kingdom!
Favorite Hollywood Studios Ride: MUPPET VISION 3-D and Toy Story Mania
Favorite Animal Kingdom Ride: Dinosaur
Favorite Disney Princess: Ariel
Favorite Fab 5 Character: Minnie Mouse
Favorite Winnie the Pooh Character: Tigger
Favorite Disney Movie: Aladdin, Peter Pan, Mary Poppins and the Little Mermaid
Favorite Pixar Movie: Toy Story and Ratatouille
Favorite Park Music Loops: Adventureland, Illuminations, Tapestry of Dreams and the MONORAIL
Favorite Disney Songs: Friends on the Other Side, When We're Human, Almost There, Friend Like Me, I Just Can't Wait to be King, Star is Born, You Can Fly and Poor Unfortunate Souls
Favorite Day of the Trip: Day 4

Here’s the whole crew:

http://img684.imageshack.us/img684/6894/dsc0917c.jpg

From left to right: Sarah, Nat, Kristen, Me, Sue, and Scott.

Sarah is Kristen’s 10 year old sister who is an absolute angel. Kristen is educating her SO well… Sarah is quite the Disney fan, herself. She quotes Stacey all of the time, she knows the names of so many of the rides and restaurants… she reminds me of myself when I was a ten year old. I'm sure she'll end up on disboards once she's old enough! I forgot how much fun it is to go to Disney with younger kids, because seeing it through Sarah’s eyes made it even more special. Sarah loves Dumbo, she loves the Disney princesses, and she looks up to Kristen a lot. She also loves me and Nat, because we’re like her big sisters too!

Sue is Kristen’s Mother. I usually just call her Mother, but considering I usually refer to my own Mom as "Mother" on my trip reports, I’m going to stick to calling her Sue. (Or Kristen's Mom) Sue is so funny and she loves Disney as well! This is the second year in a row that she's been to Disney, and she always loves to get the most out of her vacation! She likes to do everything that they didn't do last time. She helped me sneakily coordinate the surprise for Kristen – she’s a big advocate of surprises! She has such a precious personality and she’s like another Mother to me!

Scott is Kristen’s Step-dad. He is such a nice guy – he’s pretty chill and he just follows along with whatever plans are made on the vacation. He rides all of the thrill rides with us, because Kristen’s Mom doesn’t go on them. He is very impressed with how good the food is at the restaurants and he always likes to analyze how all of the rides work.

And Our Guest Stars: Vickie and Dan

http://img7.imageshack.us/img7/3304/dsc0909d.jpg

You probably remember Vickie if you read The Port Report: Frumpin Around the World with the Bathrobe Princesses (:. She is the definition of a princess. Her family was on a vacation at the same exact time as Kristen’s, which was a major reason why we planned the trip – so all of us could be there together again!

Dan is Vickie’s boyfriend and they’ve been together for two years. He’s SUCH a nice guy. This was his first time back to Disney since 2000, so it had been a long time! Dan loves Toy Story, and I think that he really enjoyed his time at Disney with Vick!

We didn't get to see the two of them very much, but the time we got to spend together was great! We had lots of fun!

Okay, now that that's done, there are a few things we may have to go over for all of the new people out there. If you’re a loyal reader, this can just be a good review for you.

FIRST of all, the most important question of the day: "What is a Frump?"
I’m sure you’ve all heard the word “frump” used, but not commonly. Well, that’s about to change... because frump is our favorite word!
A frump is basically a lazy person. Like, for instance, on a day when you wear baggy sweatpants and a big tee-shirt, you may say: “I look like a frump today.”
Frump has many definitions, though. It can also be talking about a crazy person (such as someone who gets a little too excited over Schoolbread or Muppet Vision… aka Kristen).
It can be someone who is overly sleep-deprived and laughs at anything.
Or there are always random people in crowds that you just find “frumpy.” It’s a self explanatory kind of thing.
We started with this whole Frump thing (on disboards, anyway) back in January, so we’re continuing on the tradition for this trip!

The deer face is a very frumpy aspect of our friendship. This face is used for SO many things – most commonly excitement. ESPECIALLY about food.

http://img6.imageshack.us/img6/8371/dsc0250xa.jpg

The face originated because, since we are so unathletic, Kristen would do this frumpy run and I would say “you run like a deer.” Then she would make a face similar to this:

http://img718.imageshack.us/img718/9256/dsc0590y.jpg

and it reminded me of a deer in headlights.

http://img526.imageshack.us/img526/7926/deerm.jpg

So, hence, the deer face! It has been a standing joke for over a year now… and I don’t think it’s going anywhere.

http://img215.imageshack.us/img215/2340/dsc00100ba.jpg

As I mentioned before, this was a SURPRISE trip. Kristen was on vacation with her family and had no idea that Nat and I were going to show up. Not a clue! I still can’t believe we pulled it off.
I really wanted to tag along on this trip (since Vickie was going to be there, too) so I thought of the idea at the beginning of the summer.
It was planned all throughout July. The whole surprise aspect was unpredictable, so I was incredibly excited! I will explain the planning process more in depth in the upcoming posts. But I’m telling you – I’m SO happy it worked out!

Hmmm... what else. Oh! You may have noticed that my Mom did not make an appearance on this cast list. This trip was the first time I ever went to Disney World without her! I turned 18 and BAM I went with no parental supervision. Pretty exciting stuff. It was definitely a different experience (and it was sad and weird to not have my Mom there with me!) but I felt very grown up taking care of everything!

OKAY so more trip details:
We were in Disney from August 19th-24th 2011.
We stayed at Coronado Springs Resort.
And we were on the Disney Dining Plan!

"Keep your hands and arms inside at all times.... Anything else? Oh yeah, have a nice flight."

Alright everybody? Are you ready!? Because it is time TO BEGIN! :tink:

For Your Reading Enjoyment

As most of you know, I have three other trip reports that I have completed in the past few months.

If you haven't read them, but you enjoy the current Trip Report, I thought I thought I would bring the others to your attention! Every trip is different so it can provide for hours of reading entertainment. :wizard:

My first trip report is about my trip in January, and that featured Kristen, Vickie, My Mom, and me! That was a girls trip that we took in honor of my high school graduation. We stayed at the Yacht Club and had an AMAZING time. This is where my Disney Trip Report Collection began.. as well as the frump phenomenon.

The Port Report: Frumpin Around the World with the Bathrobe Princesses (:

My second trip report took place in February and it was a Family Vacation. We stayed at Old Key West and it was an extremely relaxing trip to the world. That trip included my Mom, Dad, Brother, and Me.

"She's Looking at Food Pictures Again!" ★ A February Family Vacation!

My third trip report was during April and it was a Mother Daughter trip! My mom and I stayed at Animal Kingdom lodge and spent a lot of time at the Flower and Garden Festival.

“IT’S OUR MOTHER DAUGHTER TRIP!” Our Spontaneous Getaway - April 2011

I also thought I would recommend trip reports by two of my best friends!

Kristen (Disneyfreak616), who I went to Disney with in January and August, is currently writing her July 2011 Trip Report. She stayed at Port Orleans French Quarter and went with her Dad and Brother, Michael.

"SUCK IT UP BUTTERCUP! It Builds Character and Strength!" A July 2011 TR

My other friend, Allie (princessallie), is also writing a trip report about her July trip. She stayed at the Boardwalk with her Mom, Dad and good friend, Ana.

"Your Lime Green Chariot Awaits!" ~ a WDW Family Vacation ~ July 2011 TR ~

So, I think that’s enough to keep you all busy! Feel free to read any of those trip reports if you haven’t done so already. You by no means have to read any of them if you don't want to! I just thought I'd get the word out there if your'e interested.

I would say that the January Trip Report would best relate to this upcoming August Trip Report – so if you read it before this one, a few more things may make sense. But if you can't, that's totally fine! I will make sure to explain everything best I can.

Once again, this is just some informational stuff to get out there before the actual Trip Report gets started. It may be useful to some of you, and other can just ignore it.

All in all, though, thank you for reading! Whether you have read every report to date or this is your first one, I'm so glad you're here!
