What was the coolest Fish Exchange gift that you gave or received?
Hi everyone! I am curious on the different gifts (that you were impressed with, or could use?) that you gave or received for FE.... Looking for some creative ideas- besides the typical stickers, candy, etc. Any suggestions? Thanks!

One of my favorite gifts was so simple, but such a great idea for adults!! We got 2 little bottles of hand sanitizer from the Bath and Body Works with one of the really cute little rubber holders that attaches it to your purse or backpack. Included in the bag was a travel hand lotion and it was all tied up beautifully with some red, black and white ribbons. It was fantastic!! We also got an excursion survival kit that included a first aid kit, hand sanitizer, pen, post it notes, toilet seat covers and a tide pen. It was awesome!!

My favorites are the custom/scrapbook like photo frames or mini scrapbooks to record or pictures/memories of our trip. We also received some magnets for our door. That was cool! And the foreign gifts (from our NON US group members) were pretty awesome too!

I have narrowed down our next FE to be some type of themed gift bag/basket such as Movie night, pirate night, or the survival type stuff!

We received some pirate patches and pirate tattoos, which my kids really liked and used on pirate night. I also got some neat scrapbooking materials with a Disney theme.

Items I really adored were a wooden cable car from a DIS family from San Francisco, playing cards from Tokyo Disney SEA, Jelly Bellys from a family who lives near the factory, and a CD of cruise music that I still play in the car if we need some happy memories. Oh, and a DIS family who works for the MOUSE gave us some items that they got at their company picnic. Really, I think the key is UNIQUE, from your hometown, or something to help capture and remind you of your good times on your cruise.

One family didn't bring gifts with them, but went to the market at our first port and bought little ceramic bowls for each FE family. I have that little bowl proudly displayed on a shelf in my livingroom, so if you are struggling for room to bring FE gifts, that might be an idea.

When you join a FE group, do they set guidelines of how often you exchange gifts and the $$ limit for each?

Yes. But typically it's once on the entire group and you choose how much to's really about the fun of the exchange, not the expense of the gift.

Favorite ones I gave were pillow shams with a Mickey head crazy quilted in the kiddos favorite color (or Mickey colors for the stateroom) and the best ones I got were some fantastic WDW prints (A Mickey head sillouette for each park, themed with the park) and a Marine challenge coin from the Middle East.
