Planning Our Happily Ever After - A Disneymoon PTR! (NEW 7/13 - TR Link!)

****WARNING! You are about to embark on a year long, OCD planning, over preparing journey as I attempt to plan the trip of a lifetime!***

Hello! And welcome to my Disneymoon PTR! This is my first pre-trip report, but I did write a TR for our January 2010 engagement celebration trip. If you haven’t checked it out, I invite you to take a look! http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2374482

My name is Courtney, and as I mentioned, this is a Disneymoon PTR! My fiance Miguel and I got engaged this past Christmas, and will be saying our I Do’s exactly one year from today on June 18, 2011!

When Miguel and I first started discussing a honeymoon, Disney actually was not our first choice because we were both set on going somewhere tropical. But then the more I got to thinking about it, the more and more I really wanted to have our honeymoon at Disney. I know some people (no one here though!) don’t think of Disney as being romantic or fun for adults, but we all know that’s not the case! I took many trips as a child, as a teenager, and now I’ve taken three “adult” trips to the world and I can honestly say I have just as much fun now as I did back then. In many ways, Disney is “our place”. It is the first place we vacationed together, and the place that we celebrated our engagement. So, it seems only fitting that we celebrate our marriage and the start of our lives together there, right?!

Well that’s what we think! So off to Disney we will go and celebrate we will! I have so many ideas for this trip – I really do want it to be “the trip of a lifetime” for the both of us.

With almost a year left to go you better believe there’s going to be a lot of over-analyzing and OCD planning going on! I’ll be asking for suggestions from you all frequently, I’m sure, so not only do I hope you’ll follow along, but I hope you will post along and let me know about your experiences and tips as well!

UP NEXT: When exactly will we be vacationing? And the real question…where are we going to stay?!

I just commented on your TR, but I wanted you to do know you did have a reader over here! I'm excited to see what you plan for the disneymoon...and maybe you could throw in a few wedding updates as well :)

I'm joining in! I really wanted to go to Disney for our honeymoon, instead we went on an ill fated cruise to Bermuda. It was so bad that we had a Disney trip to make up for it a few months later. :laughing:
