Underdog & Tart Girl BOBing on the Magic, Plus the Mystery of the Red Br@ FE

Who's ready for another adventure? Thats what we asked ourselves as we prepared for our 6th Disney cruise.:wizard: This cruise we celebrate our 34th year of wedded bliss.:rolleyes1;);)

Allow me to introduce ourselves. I'm Mike/aka Underdog and my lovely bride of 34 years is Robin/ aka Tart Annihilator. (but you can call her Tart Girl):cutie:
heres a picture of us at the Akron airport. As you can see, i married waaaay out of my league.:cutie:

A large group of we Dissers had dubbed this cruise BOB, for Bash on the Boat.
http://i199.photobucket.com/albums/a...eds/bobpin.jpg
Many of us had been on a DCL cruise 2 years ago, known as the Konked Kruisers.:grouphug:

suitcases packed!! we're outta here!!:woohoo:
http://i199.photobucket.com/albums/a...s/DSC03813.jpg
It was FRIDAY OCT 23rd.
We woke at 5:30 am...too excited to sleep!!:yay:
Arrived at Akron airport at 7:30.
Robin was a little paranoid that day because she called off work so we could get to the Port a day before the cruise. As luck would have it, her boss was returning from Florida that day, so i couldnt resist saying to Robin in the Akron (then the Orlando) airport, "isnt that your boss over there?":rolleyes1
:rotfl::lmao:

Aboard the flight Robin kept trying to get me to try something called the "Mile High Club":confused3;) but being the gentleman i am, i told her "No Means NO"
and the flight was without incident and we arrived safely in Orlando at 12:30 and headed straight to Budget rental car station.

http://i199.photobucket.com/albums/a...s/DSC03838.jpg

I made a big mistake here that i'm still regretting. Budget offered me a Camaro for $20 extra and i declined. (seems Underdog is a little on the cheap side):rolleyes1:headache:
But we got a very nice Impala (which i drive at home) and we headed over to Port Canaveral.:dance3::cheer2:
If any of you guys are like us, you know the butterflies you get when you start seeing these signs as you get close.
http://i199.photobucket.com/albums/a...s/DSC03840.jpg
Its become a tradition for Robin and i to play "Remember When" by LeeAnne Rhymes from a Disney cd when we cross the Banana River bridge.

Before we knew it, we were checking into our hotel, The Residence Inn.
http://i199.photobucket.com/albums/a...s/DSC03857.jpg

A very nice hotel.:thumbsup2
We had originally planned on staying at the Raddison next door (which we stayed at prior to our 2007 cruise) but we switched for reasons i'm still not sure of.:confused3:rotfl:
But both places are very nice. Really like the sleep number beds at the Raddison, but we got a free breakfast at the Residence Inn.:thumbsup2 (did i mention Underdog is cheap?):rolleyes1

Upon checkin, we discovered that fellow Bobbers(and great friends)from WI Chuck & Nancy, their son Tony and his wife Stacy had already arrived so we all drove down to the port and had an early dinner at Grills. (I cant believe we didnt take any pictures here):confused3
I'll never forget the look on poor Stacys face when (as a joke) i mentioned that i had a high fever and i'd been throwing up all night.:rotfl: That poor girl looked horrified as she had just given us a hug hello.:rotfl2:I quickly told her i was just kidding.

After a great dinner, we headed back to Residence for some unwind time.
Heres Underdog, Chuck aka Tuna and Nancy aka Mother Goose(ppgoose)
http://i199.photobucket.com/albums/a...0_edited-1.jpg
Hanging out by the pool, Dis Legend Cass and her hubby Rob and princess Kira joined us.:grouphug:
Cass and Kira. Come on Cass, jump out of that pool just like that chic on Christmas Vacation.:cloud9::3dglasses
http://i199.photobucket.com/albums/a...6_edited-1.jpg

Now heres her hubby Rob. A great guy.:cool2: I'm not really sure what goes on up there in Canada?? Maybe it has something to do with that sport Curling?
:laughing::lmao::rotfl:
Sorry Rob, couldnt resist.
http://i199.photobucket.com/albums/a...s/DSC03863.jpg
http://i199.photobucket.com/albums/a...s/DSC03864.jpg

We had previously arranged to have a Bobber Dismeet at the Raddison this night so we headed next door for the meet.:grouphug:

Dyerneeds 01-04-2010 02:24 PM

We had a great time reuniting with old friends from the KK1 cruise and meeting new friends from the Dis at the Raddison.:dance3:
Many others were still at WDW for one last day before the cruise and they were missed here.:grouphug:
Some had been talking to each other since a 2005 cruise, while others had joined the group for the upcoming BOB cruise.

Now around this time, someone (who shall remain nameless) pointed out to Robin the person sitting on the stool behind us. Being the silly person she is, Robin couldnt resist a photo opportunity.:woohoo::3dglasses

After a few hrs of fun, we headed back to our hotel to get some sleep.zzzzz
We had previously arranged for a dis meet at 4:30 am to "Welcome back the Magic" as she returns to port.:wizard::3dglasses

We left the Radisson because of a breach in their credit card security so I believe you guys just followed us and Cass over to the Marriott. I think you mentioned something like "I just can't bust up all of the Golden Girls". :goodvibes

Can't wait to get started on the slide shows from our trip.

Enjoy everyone.
