Getting back to ASMU from Chef Mickey's, walk to MK for bus or take monarail?

What is the best way to get from Chef Mickey's to the buses at MK? We will need to get back to the ASMU. Should we walk to the buses at MK would that be closer or should we take the monarail? My mom will have a scooter. I know there are side walks from Contemp. Just wondering which would be better.

thanks for any help.

My gut says "walk", but I'm not sure if the scooter changes the equation. Do you have to go through MK? How about the first bus to any park, then transfer to the bus to ASMU?

Driving the scooter on the walking path isn't going to be a problem. Why add another bus transfer and 30+ minutes?

After Chef Micky's I'm stuffed. I would opt for the Monorail so I can take a little breather lol.

But if they take the monorail, they'll still have to walk from the monorail station to the bus stop, which is about the same as the walk from Chef Mickey's to the bus stop, and it adds another 20 minutes of travel time.

I'm not sure about that. Looking at Google earth, it's less than 500 feet from the monorail exit to the start of the bus loops. It's 2500 feet from the CR bus stop to the MK bus stop.

I'll be honest, I've never worked with a scooter, do the batteries last well enough (assuming this is the end of the day)?

It's only my opinion but I opt to do it because I prefer to sit for a few minutes and then walk instead of walk right away.
Not sure if OP would feel the same way so perhaps they should use your opinion and walk.

Personally, a little walking when I'm stuffed helps me to feel less stuffed.

Ugh not me. I take a few to relax. If I don't I often times find myself with an upset stomach which is never fun especially at WDW when you're trying to go on a ride but instead need to detour to a restroom.
I'm the same way at home when shopping. I just can't handle walking around right after I've eaten. I usually try to shop and then end with eating but if that doens't happen I at least make sure I give myself time for my food to settle.

Walking from the Contemporary to Magic Kingdom you have to cross a busy street and there are lots of bad drivers in Florida.

Cant guarantee it will always work but it is worth trying to eat more slowly and take smaller mouthfuls.

I'm the slowest eater in my group generally and it doesn't take much to make me full so I just think that this is how my body works.

The street you will have to cross is not that busy. Its a two lane road with a walk sign. Most of the traffic will be buses turning into MK and they will be turning before your cross walk area and won't interfere with you crossing. I have been able to cross the street without the walk sign that is how little the traffic is there.
