Halloween Party Questions

Hi All!

I am super excited to attend the Halloween party this Sat, 10/29! I'm trying to plan my itinerary out and had a few questions. Does anyone who has attended recently know the answers to the following questions?

Are there shows at The Golden Horseshoe 3 hours prior to the Halloween Party?
Are Mickey's Halloween Party pins available all day or just during the party? Which stores are best to pick these up?
Did you enjoy the pre-party in toontown?
Are churro funnel cakes still available at The Hungry Bear Restaurant?

We wanted to maximize party time by avoiding shopping during the actual party. Since we only had party tickets and not standard park tickets, we did all our shopping in Downtown Disney prior to the party. We found a selection of Mickey's Halloween Party pins available at the Pin Traders shop across from the LEGO Store.

I wasn't in the park 3 hours before the party, but the Golden Horseshoe was closed an hour before. It is a walk through for trick or treating during the party.

I don't know the answers to your other questions, but I wouldn't be surprised if Hungry Bear was closed during the party. Our first 2 dinner choices were closed (Rancho del Zolcalo and River Belle Terrace). We planned on getting pumpkin flan from Rancho del Zolcalo, but missed out since they closed it before the party.

I believe Golden Horseshoe closes early before the party, but I can't remember how early. But I clearly remember it not being open for maybe 2 hours before the party.

Pins can be purchased outside of party hours. I actually couldn't find any of the special pins. So, I chose a cute ghost Mickey one

I did the preparty in Critter Country and Toon Town. I much preferred CC. First, CC was MUCH less crowded. Waited 5 minutes to see Pooh, Tigger, and Eeyore. Another 5 minutes to get through the treat trail. In TT, lines were so long that I found it discouraging. Rode Gadget's Go Go Coaster, looked around, and went to CC. Granted, I'm not a huge character person, so I couldn't care less about meeting them typically. Certainly not a person that would wait 20+ minutes to meet them!

No idea about churro funnel cakes. Haven't heard about them before now, but I'm not a churro fan either, so if they were out there, I would have been oblivious about it anyway.

When we stopped by the Disneyana shop on Oct 12th to purchase our Annual Pass Halloween Party Shirts the lady asked us if we wanted the pins as well. We are not pin collectors so I didn't even take a look at them so idk if they were AP Halloween Party pins or regular Halloween party pins. I don't know if that is much help!

We did the TT preparty tonight and really enjoyed it. The trick is to be there early. We were 2nd in line for Mickey and had a 3-5 minute wait for Donald and for Goofy. The Roger Rabbit ride had a 5 minute wait. By the time we finished what we wanted and left, around an hour later, the lines for everything were very long.
