The Mythos reservation system has entire weeks left off? Is it closed during this time? Does Universal list its refurbs anywhere? With the huge list of refurbs at WDW , its surprising not to see closures at Universal also?

You might try making a reservation and modifying it. I made a reservation for the last day they showed as available to book before seeing they had changed the park hours and I needed to switch Mythos days. When I went to modify my reservation an hour later there were several dates to choose from that hadn't shown up before.

I finally called and the staff says there are plenty dates avaiable and their system was fine. I got my dates.

Its been like that for a while.......I always find it strange when a huge company has no idea there web site ots working properly...

To be fair it could be that internally the system is working fine and reservations are able to be made on their side but for customers the system could be screwy.

I don't know how many times at my past job I was able to log into a customer's account and on my side everything was fine and the screens were the same screens the customer would see..but for the customer something wasn't working right. It came down to how the system was programmed for me, as an employee of the company, and how it was working for the customer. Sometimes it was also related to using Chrome, Firefox, etc that was more or less on the customer's side of things.

I've been trying to buy gift cards for weeks and their site is screwed up. I can't get the pictures I want over the phone so I contacted them by phone and email and they keep insisting their website is fine and it's my card. All 3 of them. That all work at Amazon. And various other websites. And brick and mortar stores.

I've found their website and IT customer service to be below average. I'm not sure why they don't seem to care. I'm sure I'm not the only sale they've lost.

Their website it fine, it's their app that isn't very good (except for the Mythos thing... the reservation isn't working on it either}

Either way its bad. No way a company like this should accept it web site, internal, external or mobile to be non functional for any length of time....thats what IT gets paid to do.

I agree for sure with your point but the thing is it's far from a "Universal Studios" problem. Many companies are like that at some point in time. Doesn't make it right though.

Honestly at my last job the most reliable thing that rarely went down was a software program from the 1980s from IBM. It was pretty basic and was not reliant on internet at all but was used all the time. Many people were like "man they should get with the times" but the truth is most of the softwares that frequently had problems were internet-reliant.
