Recommendations for Tortola....

The port area is still under construction and there isn't much to do. We walked off the ship and took a taxi to Cane Garden Bay. It was $16/roundtrip. You could rent two chairs and 1 umbrella for $15 and there were bars/restaurants. The prices for food was fairly reasonable.

My boys and I got off the boat late in Tortola and missed our planned excursion as my oldest was quarantined until 30 minutes after it left. Since he was feeling better (no issues for 24 hours is the rule), we got off and walked the pier. There are shops and a few places to get food/snacks, but there is still some work to be done.

However, at the end of the shopping area there are open air buses (really flatbed trucks with seats attached to the bed) that are taking people around the island for like $20/person. You see the main areas and a couple of the beaches. If you didn't want to do a whole beach day, this might work to see everything at a reasonable price.

As others have mentioned in the past, the roads are steep and windy so there is some interesting driving, but I never felt unsafe (holding an 18 month old and a 3 year old sleeping on my lap).

I'm feeling the same way as you about the Tortola options...or lack thereof. Not sure what we'll do either. Will be following to see what others recommend.

We feel the same, we were going over excursions the other night as our online check in window is coming up in two weeks. We aren't doing the Baths as we are travelling with younger kids and didn't think they'd be into it. In the end I think this is what we are choosing to do:
