Fast approaching our PIF date, I ran another price check on our already-booked cruise in December. Connecting promenade view staterooms. Price had dropped $380 per cabin!! I just saved almost $800!:jumping1:

awesome! I just checked our for January and it went down $109 each so I emailed the TA - I hope we can get the lower deal. I've never tried that before so I hope it works

hmmm My TA is having "trouble" getting me the discount - he says he has to call RCCL in a little while.

Well the RCCL website says sale is only for ten more hours. if he doesn't call me in one hour then I will get a new TA pronto.

stressing

I think I am having dejavu. I just read your post over on cruise critic too. :)

Hopefully they get it figured out for you. If they come back and say it is for new bookings only, ask about cancelled and rebooking as a new reservation. If you are in North America, there should not be any fee to do so, unless your TA charges something.

Lol yep I am on cc too, occasionally.

Someone was snarky about usage of "PIF". One reason I don't like cruise critic is because people are way too mean. I thought PIF was common oh well. It got taken care of so I'm happy!

Yes, I love CC and the information I get there, but there are definitely some folks stuck in their ways. I figured out what you meant by the context. It was not that difficult LOL!

You will find that most frequent posters on CC actively ignore that nimrod - he's never met a post he didn't try to trash ;)

oh ok cool. i tend to have thin skin but i am working on that :)

i got the discount so I am happy.

Exactly why I don't like to post on CC either with questions. I read the threads to stay informed, but try not to post.

My parents are taking us on a big family cruise next summer and are paying for five rooms. I found a discount for three of the rooms. My parents saved a little over a thousand dollars.

so..... I'm totally a cruise noob..... if you book a cruise, and the price drops they can rebook you?

if you are before your paid in full date they should be able to rebook it

now if you have paid in full but it is still before your paid in full date- i am guessing they can still do it?!

I had paid our cabins off prior to the deadline. They credited the $760 back to the card that I used to pay. With that money (plus a bit more), I bought 2 APs for our post-cruise visit to Universal Orlando.

That said, now that the PIF date is in the past, I will not check for further reductions, since I am no longer eligible for them. I feel so fortunate to have gotten such a big discount less than a week prior to PIF!

gotcha - the PIF date is the key date, After my date, you are right, I won't look either because there is no point.

awesome you got universal passes! (I'm going later this month :))

Thank-you OP. I was able to get a discount of $234 on one cabin for our April cruise, and $26 off the other....and $100 OBC for both cabins. I will keep checking though, because our PIF date isn't until mid-January.
