Meet-my plans changed

Hi everyone,

I've had the fun of doing the Minnie's Breakfast a couple times and plan to do so again end of November. I've never done any of the other character meals and was wondering about Goofy's. What characters are different there than at Minnie's? I love the Plaza Inn setting and that it's not all that loud inside, would that be different at Goofy's for dinner, do you think?

Food-wise, I am not an exciting an eater at all, very plain, simple, and kid-like. I'd probably have some fruit, Goofyroni or possibly plain pizza and soft serve for dessert. I'm guessing they also have mashed potatoes and dinner rolls, too? ETA: Are prices comparable to Minnie's or higher because it'd be dinner?

Secondary question, keep in mind I have not been to the DLH for YEARS, is it possible to travel there (to wherever Goofy's is or at least close to it) by monorail or one of the trams/busses? If so, how long does that take about?

Thanks so much! God Bless You!

Here is information of the food served for dinner at Goofy's as well as the prices for dinner.

They do have less variety of characters than the Plaza Inn Breakfast. It is also noisy in comparison.

If you have a peanut allergy in your group I would advise against goofy's since they have peanut butter pizza on the buffet and the risk of cross contamination is too great in my opinion.

You can take the monorail to DTD and that is pretty close.

Thanks so much, Kindermouse. I did check out the link and also from your info sounds like I would still prefer to stick with Minnie's :)

Call the Dine Line to double check the prices for your date. The price changes according to season (high or low), so the phone CMs will have up to date info for you. If you don't have any mobility issues, the monorail should be fine. It drops off in DtD just east of the Rainforest Cafe (if you are looking at a map). From there, it is about a 5 minute walk to Goofy's.

Goofy's is the only character dinner. All the others are breakfast time, so if you are interested in a character meal for dinner it would be your only choice.

We love Minnie's & Goofy's but prefer Goofy's food quality and selection better.

But, if characters are your main goal, Minnie's beats it by a country mile! I think we had 8 or 9 the last time we went? And very engaging interactions. Lots of fun!

Goofy's recently switched to a fairly set group of characters - Goofy (at check in), Minnie, Chip & Dale and Pluto. They are wearing unique to Goofy's chef outfits though, which is pretty cool. And even though it's only 5 characters they are pretty well known. Some of the Minnie's characters are more obscure (which we love!).

We have found an early Goofy's breakfast to be fairly low key, definitely on par with our Minnie's experiences, neither was louder than the other. It is a character meal, so kids are going to be excited no matter what. And Goofy's does a mid-meal song very similar to Chef Mickey's in Florida where the customers twirl their napkins over their heads as all the characters parade through the restaurant. Very fun!

You will likely have a great experience at breakfast for either restaurant! Have fun!

We did breakfast. The characters were Goofy, Pluto, Minnie & Chip and Dale.
The food was phenomenal & blew Storytellers buffet away.
It had everything from Omelette, bacon eggs to breakfast pizza, cake pops, soft serve, candy, cookies, Girradelli chocolate & more

Thank you all, so very much! I just had a long reply when the computer froze and did not save :P I will try again later, need to get going now. All of you have made Goofy's at breakfast sound like such fun, love the parade and that the characters are Chef Goofy dressed! I will be solo for part of my trip and would love to meet up at Goofy's with a Dis friend either on Monday, November 28th or Tuesday, November 29th. Monday, the earliest I could be there would probably be 11 (what is the latest time)? Tuesday morning, anytime after 9 :) Please PM me within the next few days so we are able to make a reservation :)

ETA: I would love to do a general (no Goofy's needed)meet up on Monday the 28th. Take a Jingle Cruise, get a treat, just have fun. Goofy's would probably work better for me for breakfast on Tuesday the 29th.

Editing one final time to reflect my plans have changed. I'll probably post another meet up thread come spring. :)
