No more scrapbooks for sale??

Anyone know why there's currently no scrapbooks for sale in the park shops? Previously we've always bought one but this year there's nothing. Just photo albums and notebooks but no scrapbooks.

That did trigger ............ last couple trips to outlet stores I was so surprised at all the scrapbooks and scrapbooking stuff. I was hoping it was photo albums and then disappointed. I looked on the Disney Park Shopping App and it only showed one album and one kit.

If you are still there ask a CM to look up on computer inventory for scrapbook. They can see everything they have, how many they have and where they are located.

I haven't been able to find anything other than photo albums for at least a year now. I now either buy plan ones and put a picture on the front cover or get a "Disney" one from Hobby Lobby or Michaels.

I don't remember seeing scrapbooks in parks during our last trip in May. However, there were scrapbooks and scrapbooking kits still on sale down in Disney Springs Marketplace.

But, as HopperFan suggests, ask a CM first.

Where in Disney Spring did you see them?

I have always found them in Disney's Wonderful World of Memories in Disney Springs on previous trips, which is across from the Christmas store.

I think they phased them out. Last year was our very first Disney trip without a Disney Parks scrapbook. We went to DLR in the fall and I had been watching online and asking people to look in the parks all year. Nothing. Not a single scrapbook.

We were at WDW for a brief stop in summer 2015 as well, and I was searching for an 8x8 scrapbook for that trip, so looking everywhere. No 8x8 books at all, but I did see 2015 12x12 books at that time. I'm not shocked at all that there's nothing for 2016. So much for that tradition for me. :(

OP, you can watch Ebay. Occasionally an undated Disney Parks book comes up for sale. But I've used most of them through the years and am not looking for duplicates so it really doesn't help me.

I am guessing they have been phased out with all the digital photo sites now. I used to be a BIG scrapbooker. And it just has become harder and harder over the years to find the products and the ease of digital photos and online sites for books has overcome. People just do not seem to scrapbook anymore :(

I started scrapbooking in 1999 before there was much of anything in stores besides Mrs. Grossman's stickers. I watched it peak in the early 2000's, then noticed a big drop after the housing collapse. I think people just had less fun money to play with. I think you're right about digital scrapping having a big impact, but I also think digital cutters have had a huge impact on the hobby. No need to buy embellishments when you have a digital cutter and a variety of cardstock. It's a shame. While I love my cutter, I really miss browsing in scrapbook shops.

On the up side, I have enough supplies to scrap for years to come without buying anything else. :p But dang, I would sure love some new Disney albums.

People still do scrap-booking? I thought that was a phase a decade ago? I'm surprised WDW still has photo albums for sale!

Sometimes stuff shows up on Amazon - try there?

My daughter and I love to scrap. There are still some great websites to buy scrapbooking supplies from and a few have sections just on Disney stuff.

I was so upset when we went in September I couldn't find one I love scrap booking :( I was able to get one last year!

Yes. I still do....but have to be in mood. I've been doing mostly baby ones as gifts but after my November trip, I'm planning to do few on my trip with my sons.

I love Scrap Your Trip. What other ones do you use?

I used to spend RIDICULOUS amounts of money on Creative Memories. 2002-2007 were my most concentrated scrapping years. I have SO MANY supplies still stored. I always thought I would get back into it someday. It just has not yet happened.

I know when we were visiting my CM we went to Cast Connections (the cast member only store) and I believe it was all there! I bought my last one there. My guess is the on-line stuff is taking over.

Im sure it has lost popularity, but I still love to work on mine.

I have done the digital and they are ok, but I like the actual "scraps".

I have been working on my little girls baby one,and I love having the "scraps" like the placard from the hospital crib, the map from her first zoo and disney trips, her first Christmas card, a cut out from the first birthday wrapping paper, the parking slip from first beach trip etc. The digital aspect doesn't have that.

I picked up a great disney scrapbook kit from outlet last year. I do worry they are phasing out. I was actually hoping for a new blue "leather" scrapbook for the next trip. Hope they are available somewhere!

Like another poster, I have tons of supplies to last me. But I just go to Michaels if I need something. They do have specific disney book if you want to go that route.

I was scrapbooking long before it was trendy and will be scrapbooking long after. I've been part of an online Disney scrapbooking group since 2008, so I know there are others out there still scrapbooking.

I never really got into Creative Memories. My scrapping goes in waves, depending on how busy life is.
