The Everything Pooh Sized Thread

Thank you- I'll definitely wear them for a while before I go. I guess I'll bring a pair of socks just in case it gets chilly. I'll just have to make sure no one gets a picture of me wearing sandals with socks LOL :D

Haha, comfort is king in WDW! It's the only place I'll walk around with a fanny pack. And an Oswald the Rabbit hat. I have no problem looking totally ridiculous there! Sandals with socks are just a minor sin by comparison...

Oh, I have no problem walking around looking silly, I just don't want anyone back home seeing me like that :P
I'll just have to make sure the PhotoPass people catch me from my knees up ;)

I just got back with my fiancé and wanted to share the experience we had. He wears a 6X and is about 5'8. We had stayed away from anything with a seat belt or harness. Haunted Mansion (hadn't even occurred to me as I had scoured this thread prior to going and hadn't seen a similar issue) the first seat (130s I think) the lap bar didn't go down. They do have the first seat where it doesn't seem to lock so we were able to use that one. We didn't try anything else with a lap bar after that but glad to know about the first buggy is okay.

Any other rides known for that? do any of the seat belt rides offer extensions?

Rides with seat belts, the belts extend WAAAAYYYY out. Pull them all the way out before you sit down and buckle in as you are sitting. They all extend so far i could not even pull them all the way out, just kept coming!

This thread helped me sooo much. I am very self conscious about rides and fitting. Well we had only one issue and that was the barnstormer. My husband and I did not fit together we sat in different seats and that was NO issue for us. We were there on our honeymoon and it was amazing. I am 5'9 about 290 time of trip and Hubs is 5'10 about 320 time of trip. The 7dmt was tight but that was the ride being narrow.

Disney is very Pooh friendly. We are taking our daughter (that was conceived during our last trip haha) back for her first trip in October 2017. We can not wait to be back "home"

7dmt is the one I'm really worried about. So at your size 5'9/290 - you were able to get the bar down with your legs inside? I am around the same height/weight so this would be reassuring! Really don't want to have to exit the ride, so I was thinking about not trying...

I'm 6'0" and the first time I rode it, I was 340-ish lbs. Was it comfy? Nope, but it's a short ride so it was fine. I think you'll be fine, too. ;)

My hubby is 6' and 380ish and he can ride it, it is cramped, but we rode more than once last year!

5'6 300 lb portioned evening have issues with 7DMT, space mountain and K Rapids? Those are the rides I avoided last year but I have lost 158 lbs and my daughter wants me to ride with her. Just don't want to do the walk of shame :( Love those board and ya'll you helped me so much last year!! <3

I'm not sure what you might fit on, but you should be so proud you lost an entire person!! Congratulations!

I rode 7dmt two years ago at 5'5 and 260. I had plenty of room. I would try it. The only tight squeeze, and by that I mean able to fit just fine but not comfy, was Astro orbiter. Space is ok as long as you can get up from the floor because you sit very low. I didn't ride Kali. Awesome job of on weight loss! You will be fine. Enjoy!

Congrats on your weightloss! I've dropped 93 lbs myself so far in 2016, so I'm looking forward to having an easier time riding things on my next trip in a couple of weeks!

As for the three rides you mentioned, I successfully rode them all when I was 370 lbs and 6'0".

For 7DMT, it really depends more on your proportions than anything. I'm torso-heavy with smaller thighs and hips, so the bar fit over my legs fine. Not comfortably, mind you, but it's a short ride so it was fine.

Space Mountain was also fine, I just asked for the front seat of the ride car because it's got significantly more leg room, which makes it easier to maneuver a pooh-sized body in and out of.

KalI was also fine, I just had one of the bench seats to myself. No problem.

Yes I sat with my husband. It was just a little uncomfortable cause the cars are tight but I did not have to exit the ride at all.

Anyone done the water parks at WDW? We are considering both on our next trip. Any weight limits or size restrictions on rides? DD just realized she loves water slides, albeit mild ones, and we think it may be fun to try. Any input or suggestions? Thanks!

Hi everyone, this is kind of off-topic but I don't know who to ask so I'm asking you :-)

Anyone have any experience flying alone?

I'm very Pooh sized and going on my first ever solo trip in two weeks (yay!)
I should be really excited, but I can't help feeling nervous about the flights. We're talking LONG international flights, sitting next to complete strangers.

When flying with someone I know, at least I'm squishing someone who accepts my size and won't resent me for it.

Any tips for flights? (God bless the person who invented the seat belt extender!!!!) I've requested aisle seats but I don't know if that'll be enough....
I'm so nervous :confused3

I'm about the same size as you, same height but a little bit heavier. I rode it. The issue for me wasn't the weight it was my long legs haha I had to put one in front of the other to "shrink" my legs down. I was only uncomfortable in the leg area.

Dear JG,

I have never flown internationally so I can't comment on that long of flight. I have flown in the US from the East Coast to the center of country, pooh sized, alone, for work. I too had an aisle seat which made me feel more comfortable. When the flight attendants weren't up and down the aisle, I leaned just a little toward the aisle to try not encroach on middle seat passenger. I have down this 4 times and it has worked for me. I wish you a safe and wonderful trip, try not to be too nervous. I do understand the nervousness. ~Mary

I do Typhoon fairly frequently (haven't been to Blizzard in years, but DH wants to go before the end of the year). I've had absolutely no problems with any of the slides there as far as my size goes, which is wonderful, because the Six Flags water park back where I'm from had strict weight limits. As far as I know, there are no weight limits or size restrictions. Just a couple of height restrictions, I believe, on the larger slides.

Thank you so much! Most of the parks around here have strict weight limits and although I have been slowly and steadily losing some weight I want to make sure I can participate in the slides before I get there. We are so excited to finally try the waterparks. Thanks!
