Good restaurants at nearby hotels?

While in line at the jungle Cruise at Disney World last week we started talking to a family of fellow DVC owners in line behind us. They go to Aulani every year and told us that the Marriott Ko Olina has great restaurants but I forgot the name she recommended. That got me thinking that I should ask you, the experts, if there are any other good restaurants in nearby hotels that you would recommend ? Ideas??

Just an fyi, there used to be a place called Chucks Steak House at the Marriott Ko Olina but it is recently gone. It is replaced now with Longhis http://longhis.com/ There is another onsite place to eat that is kind of a pool bar/pub called Longboards and it has mixed reviews and is certainly not worth a special trip. I do know that the new Four Season hotel has some upscale places to eat, if you look up Dis Yoda's trip report on the DVC boards she has a great review of one of them.

They were probably talking about the restaurants at the J.W. Marriott. 4 Seasons just took over the property and closed the restaurants that were there. I haven't had a chance to try the new ones yet.

We tried Noe at the Four Seasons when we were there in July. We loved it! I was able to make reservations through Open Table. Amazing service and food!

Roy's, Monkeypod, and Fish House at the Four Seasons were all hits on our recent trip. We considered Longhi's, too, but just never got around to it. We went to Monkeypod twice, and could have easily enjoyed Roy's twice as well, but it's pricey. If you go to Monkeypod, I recommend asking for a table upstairs. You can still easily hear the music, but it's a bit quieter and easier to talk to your group.

We ate at Longboard's at the Marriott, but I agree it's not worth going out of the way for. Its an outdoor, very casual style and fare type of bar/restaurant. Relatively small. It was more adult oriented and quieter than Aulani, which we did enjoy.
