The things kids say...

Oh yeah, definitely

I grew up with a rotary phone and a leg cord that always got tangled and we weren't able to access anything requiring touch tone
My son and I were watching Stranger Things last weekend and when Will is trying to dial 911 on his rotary in the first episode my son didn't know what that was. *sigh*

Amazingly my mother kept many of the toys I had as an infant. Even more amazing, 40 years later my niece is playing with them and they work (I also learned that Sesame Street is still on, but sadly most of the actors are dead). In fact her favorite toys are my old Sesamee Street playschool sets and we play with them for hours.

Now I have an 18 month old who can say my name, but every time she sees sees me she calls me Ernie.

In the midst of a tantrum my almost 5 yo DS told me he hated me. When everything calmed down I said "We don't tell people I hate you, that's really not nice" and he replied with "Well I just wanted you to go into hot lava at the moment". :joker:

LOL PJ......I mean Ernie. LOL That's cute. I have to say - my little sis used to have a BUNCH of Playskook and Weebles stuff, and even though 8 years older than her, I used to love to play with it, and it was some well-made stuff!

Conversation this morning as my oldest DD is using all sorts of tactics to convince us to get her a kitten:

DD (7): And the kitten could stay in my room and I would even use my own money to buy it a bed

DS (4): Me too

DD (7): You would use your own money for me?

DS (4):Yup ... but I only have one coin and one cork
