Meh I doubt it. There is still Boma. I bet they will be even. Less people going to Boma. They did start together. I went this morning and had the Banana bread with the house made nutella. It was great!

The coffee on property is the standard across all property with the exception of sanaa. They have pressed pots and cappuccino. They haven't offered it yet for breakfast.

We will be at AKL Savanna view Bunk bed room for Thanksgiving. Any advice as to which area to request?

Id love to know this too johnnyjay - best I could tell from looking at the maps tho there was at least a 50 percent chance of a parking lot view if you selected king bed - i plan to fax in "any partial savannah view" and be done with it

Hey guys!! We checked in yesterday and today is our first park day. We drove here and have a transportation question. We are trying to figure out how long the bus rides are to the parks so we can figure out if we should drive or take the bus.

Also wanted to say how much we love it here. This is our first time here and are on the 2nd floor with a Savannah view. Being able to sit on our balcony and watch animals is amazing.

I also have the same question (but we arrive in a month!). We'll have a car, and with the exception of Magic Kingdom, I'm thinking it might be easier to just drive to the parks every day...thoughts?

Also, if you reservation says "standard view" does that indicate that it is the normal two queen room?

We just under 60 days to our first stay at AKL. We are renting DVC points. I think I recall reading on here that since we are DVC that it does not help to make any requests when we do online check in. Is that true? Should I leave the requests blank? (I am not sure what I want anyway. We have a Savannah view.)

Yes. If you wanted any special requests it should have been put on the initial reservation (at least that was my experience).

I think I have heard that the owner/broker can add requests for you, but I have not done this myself so I cannot confirm.

Last Dec. I had a savanna view villa in Jambo and didn't make any requests- we ended up on Zebra trail w/ Arusha view by a pond fairly near the elevators that go down to the Mara/pool - lovely villa view & location.
Hope you like your villa & see lots of critters from your balcony!

Ok, so I was going to keep my reservation at the Beach Club but my child is begging to switch here instead so I guess I'll switch.

I want to get a pool view room. But my question is, are there any or many pool view rooms that really shouldn't be classified as pool view? Rooms that you can barely see the pool, but are still charged the premium for it.
