Are AP price increases on the horizon?

Is the number on this site the number you called? https://disneyvacationclub.disney.go.com/discounts-perks-offers/ticket-tour/disneyland-pass/

It does say you can buy them at the ticket booths. I can understand trying to plan ahead before a price increase, but DVC's discount is on the current price, so if they're offering the discount at the ticket booth, that seems like the fairest way to do it.

Yes, that is the number that I called. I do understand that it does say that the discount is available at the ticket booth....However, it also has that phone number RIGHT beside the offer, which makes it look like one can also take advantage of the discount by calling that number.....

I think it stinks that DVC has the offer for WDW tickets (which is a MUCH better deal) that can be purchased on their website....although, before anyone flames me, I know that they are a business and can do what they want; this is America; if I don't like it, I don't have to go; if I disagree, I should vote with my wallet; yadda yadda yadda before anyone flames me.....We will be spending WAY more on Disneyland tickets for the same length of our WDW trip that we just took.

And a lot of Disney tickets can be purchased ahead of time and just have an expiration date so that you can go ahead and purchase locking in today's price. Although it may seem ridiculous for me to be annoyed, I am currently not excited for our trip next year. Really not feeling the Disney Difference---just more rules, policies, and procedures from a company that raises prices often.

It doesn't surprise me because I've seen them try to close all the loopholes for avoiding an AP price increase. Before giving up, I'd call again and play dumb. "Hi, I'd like to buy a DL annual pass." If they say $849, say, "Oh, I'm looking at your website and it says I should get a $20 discount." If they say no, end the call. Disney often gives a different answer on subsequent calls.

I'll give it a shot this evening!

I know this isn't supposed to work, but it did for us - we bought five-day PHs from ticketsatwork.com ($299 adult and $280 child, I think). When we took them to be upgraded to APs, the CM applied the full value of the five-day PH, rather than charging us the difference between the discount and the full-price ticket. That saved us more than $100 right there.

It has begun. Universal Orlando increased annual pass prices over night and added new options. Disney is usually not to far behind on increases.

I saw the notice, @mamapenguin.

I wonder if they'll do it on Tuesday to align with the release of the DCA only pass and get through race weekend.... hmmm....

Does anyone know if I can upgrade park hoppers to APs before we go? We have 4 day hoppers but are planning on getting APs since we are heading back in March. I would love to upgrade before we go since I have a feeling that the AP increase is going to happen before Sept. 17th.

I actually anticipated an increase back in May. Bought my APs.....and of course it didn't happen. I suppose if they increase in price this fall, I'll be patting myself on the back. But when it comes to buying things at the wrong time, I'm usually top of the mountain.
Same for me with timing....and don't ever follow me in a line! It will be the slowest for sure!!

I've been wondering this same thing. But, my husband got rear ended on the highway this morning, so I don't really have the money to upgrade right now anyway. I'm just praying the increase isn't huge.

All this talk about price hikes is tying my stomach in knots! I know this happens every year, but it feels like the first time every time I go through this! Ugh. We're not close to our renewal window yet, so I don't know if there is even anything I can do to mitigate the pain.

I have no sources here, but I THINK you have to do this at the ticket booth/guest services.

Thanks for the info! I'm gonna get my AP online today. I think the writing is on the wall.

Uh oh...

...is anybody else having problems purchasing online? It won't let me add 2 Signature passes to my cart.

Have you tried to do one at a time? Sometimes the system cannot handle multiples, I have read on here before.

Out of curiosity I just tried and was able to add 2 passes to my cart. Maybe try again later?

I would like to purchase an annual pass before the increase, but don't plan on going until next July. Is there a "redeem by" date on the e-pass/ticket? Thanks!
