Apparently a lot of people don't know this movie exists and are shocked when I bring it up, let alone show them my DVD of it.
I watched it on its Wonderful World of Disney premier back in 1997 and enjoyed it quite a bit. Tower of Terror was my favorite WDW attraction by that point, and adding the backstory of the characters just made it even better.
I was in 5th grade at the time and admittedly developed a crush on Kirsten Dunst as a result of the movie I felt the characters were a good mix (and also felt Gilbert could have easily been played by David Tomlinson). Dewey was quirky and memorable. Sally Shine was the selfless kid you want your famous little one to be. Buzzy...well, let's just say he reminds me of my uncle!!
The musical score was great, too. It was a good film and one I wish would have gotten more publicity. Now excuse me as I go to watch it while wearing my Hollywood Tower Hotel robe...
