Space Mountain - January 2017 & Sequoia Lodge questions

Hi! How lovely for you to be able to visit DLP for 5 days for the first time. You're going to have a blast! It will still be Christmas season when you are there (the last day is actually January 8th 2017), which is truely magical and offers some great extra expierences in the park.

On this page you can find the opening hours and closures for both parcs for every day:
http://www.disneylandparis.co.uk/calendars/park-hours/#
Right now it's available until somewhere by the end of November. Every day a new day is added, so in about 5 weeks you should be able to see the opening hours and closures for your travel dates.

Sequoia Lodge is a lovely hotel in general. A Montana room means it will be in the main building, so you won't have to go outside when you want to go to breakfast for example, as opposed to the standard rooms which are located in the lodges. A Golden Forest room is also in the main building. For guests staying there, there is a seperate reception, breakfast room and free snacks and drinks in the afternoon. Also, you get a free Hotel Fastpass which gives you the opportunity to use one attraction a day that has Fastpass service at any given time. It's up to you to decide if you find the extra costs worth it.

If you have any more questions, please ask! Happy planning! pixiedust:

Hi from Germany!

The park tickets you will get with your package are hopper tickets. You can use them for both parks.

If you want the Hotel Fastpass you have to upgrade to the Golden Forrest Rooms not to a Montana Room !

Beware of that.

I am here for a couple days in a Montana room if there is anything I can check for you, please tag me

Definitely upgrade to a Golden Forest room - you will benefit from a much better breakfast with a few hot items and also the FP for one use per day, as well as bell hop services, dedicated check in etc.

I have stayed in the hotel once - Golden Forest and enjoyed it. All other times I have stayed at the Disneyland Hotel, which is my favourite, but for the budget, I'd quite happily stay in the SQL again.

I stayed at the Sequoia lodge and flirted with the idea of the Golden Forest and decided against it. I did stay in a Montana room that faced the lake and had a balcony (that was a surprise, I didn't know the rooms there had them). My husband and I were happy with the regular breakfast it might have been nice to have hot items (my husband loves bacon and eggs) but we were plenty full with what was offered. We planned to spend most of our time in the parks for the offer of the snacks and drinks offered at the Golden Forest were not in the end enticing enough. We spent 4 days at DLP and went on everything and got plenty of regular fast passes so the extra fast pass from the Golden Forest level, like the breakfast would have been nice but not necessary. In the end upgrading wasn't worth it for us but everyone is different. I am glad we paid extra for the Montana room, that was worth it for us. We both really liked the Sequoia Lodge. Have fun!

Great news - I think you won't regret it, especially with travelling so far. We said we probably wouldn't bother with the 'snacks' in the afternoon but did manage it one day and it was lovely - macarons, cakes, fruit and drinks (hot and cold). The children enjoyed it too. If I were staying at SQL again, I would book GF without hesitation. We didn't pay for a lake view room though, just standard GF.

We are going to be staying in a GF room next year, we decided to do it because it just provides us with a little more flexibility with our young family. I personally like the club level rooms in the hotels, I like the personalised service :)

If I book Golden Forest "suite" does that in fact include Express FP/unlimited FP?

It's not unlimited FP (I think you only get that with DLH Castle Club), but you get one additional hotel FP per day

Try using a different device on private browse mode - it's a travel trick they use, give you good deals so you feel the need to purchase then and there but if you browse privately they can't track what you've previously accessed and try again over the next few days.

YES! Tell me about it. We watched our airline costs tick ever upward in 2014 as my friend and I booked a moms-only cruise... We bought our tickets nervously. The next day I was at Panera and used my phone to check. Yup - original prices were available.

In today's case I did use a different device, and the particular suite option was gone. I haven't given up. ;)

Ah well that explains why when myself and my boyfriend were looking at prices together, I was unable to access some of the deals that he was! It really worked though as we booked thinking the deals would disappear. How cheeky of them...

It's something every travel company does  also when you look at Disney always save your travel wish as its valid for 7 days :o
