Plugs and hangers in the room

Hello! I'm mid packing for our cruise on Saturday! :yay:

Just wondering if we should pack some extra hangers for the wardrobe?
Also, what plugs are in the room? Are they American? Just checking we actually have some adaptors!

TIA

You can ask for extra hangers if you find you need them. We had plenty. The plugs are american, with the exception of the hair dryer. That outlet is marked for the hair dryer.

There are hangers in the room. If you need more, just ask your room host.

Outlets are primarily US, but there are a couple of others on the desk:

Thanks everyone! Saves space by not having to pack more hangers. Good to know they have arrange of plugs as I think we only have one adaptor!

In that picture above (didn't want to repost it), is that a 6 port USB charging block?

If so, then the need to pack one to charge everything would be far less required.

I know now that you are not allowed to have extension cords or even electrical strips.

Please don't use things that aren't allowed.

Disney isn't trying to sell us extension cords or electrical strips, so I'm assuming it's a safety issue of some sort. Surely no one wants to make us less safe on a ship in the middle of the sea?

That is not a USB charging block. I haven't quite figured out what it is but it's not USB. I've never found a USB charging port in my stateroom.

Many do it and post about it. I doubt it's a safety issue per se, but then again if you plug in an 8-plug strip full of appliances, I'm sure it could cause an issue with overheating the outlet. We have not found it necessary to use either on our cruises and never pack them.

I did remove my comment about putting them away as if they are not allowed, people shouldn't be "hiding" them for usage.

People use them and brag about it, but that does not mean it is fine. Or right. And just because nothing has happened yet does not mean it won't - guarantee you when it does, everyone will scream that whatever cruise line it happens to (and all the others) should have done more to prevent people from using them.

Disney is not stupid - they know how attached to electronics some people are. If there was a safe way to provide the extra plugs they would - and they will to a limited degree upon request.

The fact that they do not automatically provide them in every cabin to me indicates that they feel they are enough of a safety issue that to provide them to every cabin would be dangerous.

i see someone else asked this question...just dawned on me that the ship would have only US electrical outlets...
so i'm throwing in a bunch of US adaptors (for our european plugs)...

so glad someone already asked!! :)

Actually, while having adaptors for possible pre or post cruise stays, on the ship you do not need them. The American outlets that you see in the picture above have the flat and round connectors combined. So a standard European flat plug will fit in those. In addition, you can always use the hairdrier outlet with your European plug, because that is a standard European outlet (and has 220V as well, but all your European appliances will be fine with that).

That's a great picture to show you the detail of the desk, and the wave phones are pictured there as well. I know I've seen where people have asked what the wave phones look like a lot so that's perfect for that. Is that DCL lip balm I see there as well?

it's just for recharging apple phones...
no matter...i'll keep the US adaptors in anyway....just in case...always good :)

i believe those are batteries.

Hair dryers are provided. Check the drawers around the desk...it's usually tucked away in one of them. If you're on the Wonder (not sure about the Magic), they still have the old style ones in the bathroom, but there is also a good hair dryer in the desk.

And, on the Magic class the "old" hairdryer is still in the bathroom:
