I see Splash is closed the week up until 10/11; does anyone know about this closure?
Where did you see that it was only closed until 10/11. I thought Ive been seeing people post that it's closed all of October. If anyone knows the dates please advise. I can't seem to find an answer when I search online.

Yesterday I read that it would be closed Oct 3 - Nov 3.

:crazy2: This would be a real bummer since we were hoping to ride it when there for the 10/29 party. It's one of our family's favorites.

On the upside, I just booked a Blue Bayou dinner package for 5pm that evening so that's certainly something to look forward to. :cool1:

Did anyone get an earlier seating than 5PM for the BB dinner package?
I am hoping 5PM is the first seating, greater chance of a waterside table.....

So excited to hear this! Do you mind if I ask where you heard? I tried calling yesterday about this very event, and they didn't seem to know about it.
I looked at th hours listed for Roger Rabbit and The Go Coaster. They are both listed as "Special Ticketed Event" from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm on a party Friday I looked at. I could be wrong, but the timing seems right. The phone CMs have historically known nothing about the pre-party.

Does anyone know what the preferred viewing area for Blue Bayou Halloween Dinner will be? I'm curious if we will be able to sit or if we may need to stand, and also wondering if it would be a prime viewing area for fireworks.

I just booked a reservation for the BB for the September 26th MHP. The $65 is so going to be worth the price. Now I have to get a ticket for the September 28th party

If it's anything like the paint the night one, it'll be standing and not good for fireworks.

According to the Disneyland website, the earliest package dinner is 5:00 p.m. This is what it told me when I booked.

Lunch
11:30 AM - 3:55 PM

Dinner
Special Ticketed Event
5:00 PM - 10:00 PM

Crossing our fingers for a table by the water too, but not counting on it since the restaurant is open for other diners prior to 5pm anyway. No matter what, it's going to be great :)

ETA: My reservation is for the Saturday party night.

I just posted about this in another thread. I'll cut and paste my response below:

TO those who are wondering about MHP special dinner reservations earlier than 5-they can be made earlier on night when the party starts earlier! I was poking around the reservations and and I saw they they could be made earlier on mondays and wednesdays but not on fridays. Friday parties the reservations stop at 3;30 and begin again at 5:00. I decided to try it out ( if things went wrong I could always change it back-this is DLR here not WDW so they won't all disappear in 2 minutes) and I changed my reservation to 4:10 and it still says:

Reservation Changed!

Mickey's Halloween Party Dinner Package at the Blue Bayou Wednesday, October 5, 2016 4:10 PM Dinner for 4

So, if you booking a BB MHP dinner on a Monday or Wednesday you can get a reservation earlier than 5 which would free you up for the toon town pre-party as well! Its totally freakin perfect!

I went to purchase a MHP ticket on-line and was unable to get my Disney Visa discount. I can't figure out how to get the discount on-line. I can get it when I call Disney tickets, but they won't send me an e-ticket and will only mail it at a $5.00 fee which pretty much wipes out my discount. Has anyone been able to get a ticket on-line using the Visa discount? Thanks!

Is that so? I've only been able to get a reservation for 5pm or later on my date, which is a Wednesday, so I assumed that was the starting time for all of the nights. I've been on the fence about keeping the reservation because I also wanted to do the pre-party. So after reading about your experience, I'll keep trying and see if something earlier opens up. Thanks!

I think they are sold out for the night I am interested 10/24? I am not completely sold on doing it but we will see. It looks like the menu is updating for the season/special dining?

I checked the times for all of the Wednesday at Blue Bayou and they all list dinner as a special ticketed event from 4-10. Either the earlier ones are gone or there is an issue with online reservations. It's worth a call to dining to see if you can get one.
