Disney Gift Card Deals

FWIW and OT from Disney gift cards... I tried to order Starbucks a egift card on Target.com today and they are no longer listed. It had been an easy way to score 5% off my caffeine addiction :rolleyes1 as it gave me the discount when I used my RedCard to purchase. Looks like they're cracking down on to more that just gift card for gift card purchases. But just a couple days I got Netflix egift cards using my RedCard and got the 5% off so I know they haven't removed all egift cards from their site.
Sometimes ebay has sales on Starbucks cards. I know I bought a few not too long ago at 20% off - and this is related to Disney! If you want to buy a Starbucks at the parks, you can save for Disney cards for other places if you have a Starbucks card handy.

for amex, each AU has to have their own sign in page.... so sometimes one card will get the offer, another won't. This is a good deal BTW, I got it myself last month

Like @hsmamato2 already posted, each AU has a different card number from the member's card, so each AU can create their own Amex account and receive offers on their AU card. My wife's AU card mostly gets the same offers my card gets so we get to double up on saving and redeeming those offers, but sometimes hers gets better (more useful) offers so we'll plan around having her use her card for those.

Thanks! Got the other account set up for my AU without any issues! Nothing different on the offers right now but I'll be keeping my eye out. (Especially for something like that Home Depot one!)

Amex Offers can be so random. Last year, I didn't get the $20 credit on $100 spent x5 [Target] offer that so many other people here seemed to have gotten. I guess this Home Depot offer makes Amex even with me.

ETA: I was talking about last year's Target offer.

Or, if there is a twitter code associated with the offer, the AU can tweet the offer code in order for it to work on his/her card. You have to sync the AU's Amex card to his/her twitter account first. I had a hard time wrapping my head around this initially for some reason, but I sure do love being able to use the good offers multiple times!
I had no idea about this. Linked!! Thanks!

I need some advice please. I have been away for a few months, (Dad got sick and passed away so my attention has obviously been elsewhere). I was one of those that had my account flagged or whatever by paypal. They wanted me to contact them and provide additional info , which I never did and I haven't gotten any other emails from them after the initial few. At this point I'm not even concerned with that, I will deal with it if it is an issue for me later. My question is can I still take advantage of the extra bucks promos to buy my gas gift cards then use the extra bucks when they are redeemable for other items I would buy anyway? If I stay away from a PPDGC can I still do this without issue? I had been buying gift cards from SVM on ebay. Also, is the 5% discount with the red card still active on target online for Disney gift cards? My best strategy I think is buying Target cards at the grocery at 6% off then Disney cards online with the red card for the additional 5%. Not nearly the savings like earlier in the year with the churning but it's something. Thank you in advance.

I am so very sorry for your loss. Wishing you peace and comfort in the days ahead...

I can't speak to the PayPal issue, but I do know that you can still receive 5% off with your RedCard online.

However you can no longer combine the red card discount with target gift cards anymore (I think @eeyoresmom was looking to do that). Any gift cards purchased on target.com using target gift cards now gets cancelled within minutes. So it is now either discount but not both (buy discounted Disney gift card via Kroger or discounted Disney gift card by ACTUALLY paying with the red card). If you buy a target gift card you can use it in store to purchase gift cards (currently) but no 5% off.
As for PayPal if you account is not locked I would think you could still take advantage of any promos. However if you account was never unlocked months ago it may still be locked. I think you'd have to try to make a purchase to find out.

So sorry for your loss, eeyoresmom! Thoughts and prayers are with you.

So things have changed a lot here. I extra discount at Target as described by CMNJ. Boo! In July they put limits back on eBay allowing only $2000 of purchases using eBay gift cards per rolling 60 days, $12,000 per year. And then to make it make it worse and basically a moot point to churners, a couple weeks ago they stopped allowing purchasing of gc's with eBay gc's! So things arent looking too good for churning anymore. So far I'll probably try the gas gift cards route to make a few ebucks, as you mentioned, and the small target discount, but will have to look for more ways to save! Sorry to be the bearer of bad churning news!
As far as Paypal I think you'll just have to try to use as CMNJ suggested. Not sure how you could use ebucks without it though. Good luck with that!

Thanks everyone. I knew the churning was over, for me anyway, but I was hoping I could still do the 6% at grocery stores plus 5 % with red card but looks like that is out also.

Well, it looks like Paypal Digital Gifts is back up and selling again. They do have the best buy gift cards as in stock.
I was just about to post that.

I got an email this morning that ebay had updated their User Agreement. I checked it with great trepidation, but I didn't see anything scary. THe only place that Paypal was mentioned was that sellers had to return money via paypal if an item (paid for by paypal) was returned or cancelled.

does anyone buy the staples visa card when it is on sale? i think i read the if you buy $300 visa you get $20 staples card? can you do this multiple times? buy visa, get $20 gc, use new visa to buy another visa? get another $20 gc?

Staples will not let you use Staples GCs to buy other GCs.

right. but can i flip those visa cards to get more staples gift cards without putting out more $$

You'll pay a $5-6 (?) activation fee per card so that'll cut into your profit. That's why you'll often see these kind of deals paired with, say, a $20 Staples GC, or last week Office Max/Depot had a deal for $15 off a purchase of $300 Visa.

I gotchya now.

I'm not sure what Staples' policy is, but I do know a lot of stores won't let you buy gift cards with those pre-paid Visas or Mastercard (debit) cards.

ETA: If Staples won't allow it, you could always track down another retail establishment like a grocery store that would allow the transaction... but you wouldn't be able to take advantage of more and more $20 GCs.

What if you used a Visa card to buy a gift card at a grocery store in their gift card mall?
The problem is if you aren't a staples shopper, what do you do with their $20 cards? Trade them in for $10 at a resale site?

I've actually found Staples has some really random stuff that everyone uses. We recycle our toner cartridges there and end up with $5-10 in staples rebates every few months and sometimes we'll just go in and buy paper towels, toilet paper, snacks, gum, etc. Our Staples puts them out front, sometimes at good prices, sometimes not.

I'm grateful. I only had a little under $200 in ebay Gc , that needed to be cashed out, it took me 2 tries at Best buy to convert them into Disney. I had ordered a camera lens to be picked up at the store, the first guy wouldn't just exchange it, so I left it and came back today picked it up wondered the mall for a while then went back and tried to exchange it, this time the lady had no problems doing it. I have a little less than $25 left in Ebay GC, I think I may just buy needed stuff at the Target ebay store than , use the Money I would have spent to buy a $25 disney card, and call it quits for now. THis will cover my Nov. RunDisney trip and I will just have to find another way to fund my April one.
