The cup is in my yoga pants. :lmao:

I won a small bottle of hand sanitizer, stress ball, ink pen, water bottle, and a few other trinkets with our local hospital name stamped on it as it was the major sponsor of the tournament. This also served as a charity fundraiser.
 
Here's another picture. I thanked some of my friends for staying around and watching the finals. They all said they were watching her. I thought I was the cute one. :lmao:

This tournament is an annual fundraiser for the Goodfellows Club, a charity that supports underprivileged children. It is a memorial tournament, named after a local player who won at different levels, played in college, and died of an aneurysm while in law school. His dad, who also plays tennis, worked with local clubs to coordinate this, and the entry fees and other donations go to that charity.

Afternoon gents. 3pm. just woke up. 2 midnight shifts down and I have a break tonight before my 3rd one tomorrow.
Kay (DD15) has been great, though. She made me eggs and toast the yesterday and today she's making supper.
Still... it sucks when you wake up and don't know what day it is!

Happy Tuesday evening. It is a long day driving to WKU campus. All of the students have returned, and the parking lots are full. It is really hot, and the clothing is sparse. I know so many of these students will drop out or flunk out. I just hope they didn't take out student loans to add to it all.

I remember those days, waking up while at UL between 6:30 - 7:30 and trying to figure out if it was AM and I was going to school or PM and I was going to work. Bravo to your dd on eggs and toast.

YUP!!! Mine caught the microwave on fire making popcorn in it. Apparently, she decided to pop it for 15 minutes. We weren't home at the time, so no one was there to stop it. The house smelled for DAYS...... :furious:

I helped her a bit tonight, but she made chicken tenders (from scratch... I sliced the chicken) and zucchini pizza bites. Not bad. Not bad at all.

Cut mine yesterday, man was it dry. Watered it for an hour or so. That means we'll have rain for the next few days.

Happy Thursday. Finally woke up to a little rain this morning, but we've got our eyes to the south and the drunken meanderings of Hermine.
 
Happy Thursday all! Looks like the rain everyone is talking about may be heading up this way to VA. If it doesn't rain, I am supposed to head over to a friend's house to cut his grass. He's got Stage 4 Colon Cancer. Sadly, he's basically given up. He's got a wife and two young boys. Planning on hanging around after I cut the grass to watch some college football. He's the one who introduced me to the wonderful world of college football (University of Tenn, in particular) so hoping we can spend some time together. Would appreciate some prayers for him.

In happier news, we're 65 days out from our adults-only/F&W/10th anniversary trip. Planning on taking the Mrs out to dinner and then come back for a little FP+ planning. I've got the spreadsheet ready and the cable to connect to the big screen so we can fill it in together. Yes, I'm a planning geek.
 
Top O the Mornin Dads! Not on vacation but up to backside at the day job and heading to China Saturday. A bit of lull around our place these days and just me and DW getting into a routine without any kids at the house though she is very much looking forward to seeing the two of them this weekend, wish I could say the same. HAve a good Friday Eve.

Passed way west of us 2 days ago and it just stopped raining. Some impressive cell bursts, not much wind but heavy rain and lightning. One of my old stomping grounds (Cedar Key) is bracing for a Cat. 1. Hoping it doesn't ruin Saturday's game in Gainesville. Everybody in it's path, stay safe.
