Apologies if this information is available and I missed it.

My wife has a back injury and needs to lie flat on her back wih her knees up every 1-2 hours for 5 minutes to release pressure on her spine. Does anyone have any advice on good spots for her lie down that are reasonably clean and where she'll be out of the way? She going to to bring a mat to lie on so the floor is fine. I'm most concerned about Epcot, because we have a 11-close day planned without an afternoon break, and it will be during the Food and Wine festival when some of the extra space will be taken up with Food kiosks and people eating. I think I remember Turtle Talk having a carpeted area that might be good...would appreciate any advice!

I don't think that Turtle Talk would be good. No, it isn't outside or filthy, but it will be crowded and she might end up underfoot or blocking the way. I know the last time I was in Turtle Talk, I brought in my scooter. And I was positioned in the open, carpeted area.

What about first aid? I know they have cots.

I know that in Animal Kingdom there's a nice path around the Tree of Life which has benches, and there aren't many people. The entrance is near Pizzafari.

other than First aid, there are no 'public' spots that are appropriate except maybe Rafiki's Planet Watch in AK.

First aid is you best option but every 1-2 hours for five minutes would be hard on any touring plan.

For Epcot here are a few options

Japan back where the Agent P drop off box is (under the deck of Tokyo Dinning and Teppan Edo) there is a moderate size path with faux bamboo fence. When I was a CM and would frequently come in and out of that entrance there were often families there having a picnic or letting their kids escape the crowd. There are also stone benches around the trees that you will be fine using for that.

Moracco. There use to be a bench by the camel that wears a fez. I took an hour nap there and no one bothered me. Side note did not intend to nap I just sat down and told my fiancé and friend to explore with out me and next thing I know I was out and they were waking me up! They did come check on me every so often haha. There is also a tiny court yard by the entrance that has a fountain.

UK- the area right outside the stage (flower maze?) is always good. People often sit and stretch out there waiting for the band so you wouldn't stick out.

Italy - right by the Agent P cart there are two benches (or there use to be at least).

Between America and Italy there is a massive open area that is an emergency entrance/exit/cast entrance. It is sometimes used for character training but not during Food and Wine. Almaot no one goes down that path unless they are a CM or want to stretch out.

Imagination Pavillion near the dancing fountains there is a ton of space back there. Back by the restrooms doesn't get much foot traffic at all.

Sorry these are all outside but it is what I could come up with.

Animal Kingdom - the exit path of Dinosaur. There are stone benches and fans there. We chilled there for an hour in June.

Maybe the exit area of Kilmenjaro Safai and entrance to the walking trail there? There is a big open space there between the two. If you went to the back past the merch cart when exiting the Safari but before the trail entrance you should be out of the way.

Yak and Yeti quick service area. There are tables and chairs. Perhaps she could push two chairs together and stretch that way. Not sure how flat she could get though. Also fans in this area.

Honestly DAK has a ton of off shoots where you could find a spot.

If she does not mind lying on the ground, it would be easier to find a spot if the park is crowded and all of the benches, etc. are occupied.

The mat would come in handy as protection from ants.

1) She would probably be asked to "move along" if sleeping somewhere.
2) Disney does not allow sleeping-napping-resting on the ground or grassy areas, or laying spread-out on benches.
3) It is not pleasant to be witnessed by other guests.
. . . If allowed, how would it look to have DOZENS or HUNDREDS of people napping on the grass around the parks?
. . . One might compare it to a Hippie Love-In.
. . . Or a hobo haven.
. . . Disney parks are not Woodstock (which, by the way, I attended and still have my tickets framed) *
4) Go to the First Aid station and ask for a cot.

A ton of people lay out on the Cinderella Castle Plaza Gardens (grass hub added after hub expansion) and in the grassy areas by the monorail posts in Epcot and I've never once seem a CM ask people to move along.

I don't know how seeing someone take a brief stop would disturb another guest.

Thanks for all the advice! I'm really relieved by how many options there are, I was very worried and I feel much better now. It sounds like the First Aid stations would be the most comfortable, but Epcot is too large to make it feasible if she's in significant pain while we're in World Showcase. I'm going to make a list of all these ideas. Thanks again!

The Fez House courtyard in Morocco would give a good place to lie on a bench for a few minutes. We were there during heavy crowds and I dunked in for a respite from the sun for about 15 minutes. I saw only a handful of people come through.

Wouldn't a "Love In" require more than one person??? This is a single individual looking for an out of the way spot...not a couple looking for an out of the way spot!!
One individual does not a "Love In" make. ;)

EXACTLY!! It's not like she's going to lay down in the middle of Main Street USA blocking the flow of traffic.

a few things that come to mind for me and I know there will be others

at EPCOT there are a few benches around if she just need 5 minutes you can often find one that is free although often in direct sun so bring an umbrella

Ellen energy is a nice long 45ish minute ride you could get on this and lie down

if all else fails just step out of the way and lie down on the ground when a CM comes up to use just tell the CM your wife is having some back problems and she just needs to lie down for 5 minutes they will probable let her if it is only for 5 minutes ( I have had my leg give out of me in a very crowded walkway between FL LS at the MK about 90 minutes before the Fire works on the 4 of july ( you want to talk about wall to wall people when I told the CM I just need to rest for a minute ( more like 8) she let me she and my friend stood by me while I gave my leg my leg recover ( no I was not lying down but I think your wife should be fine if she is able to find an out of the way place I would just be looking for one all the time so if you see some place you could go back to it.

( I just wanted to add you could get that one CM that tells you to move on in that case do move on but I think most CM will be understanding if all she really needs is 5 or so minutes)

also first aid but that has beed said.

first aid is at the front of each park and could be hard to get back to from any of parks. finding an empty bench so your wife can use whole bench is going to be hard to find esp in EPCOT

At AK on one visit I was exhausted and in a lot of pain walking. My sister wanted to go to Rafiki's Planet watch. I rode the train with her, and then started the walk up the pathway to Rafiki's. A short while later there was this really nice area that had some benches across the walkway from one of the explorers stations, which was manned by a couple CMs. The whole little enclave was sheltered from the sun by the trees.

I asked if I could lie down on the bench and rest while my sister went on and explored and they said no problem. I almost fell asleep :-) Very few people came by, so there really wasn't any disturbing of others.
