Can I book a vacation now and pay off in installments?

I didn't realize this would turn the thread into crisis mode my apologies. I was just adding my $.02, but thank you all for the concern.

Yes I live in the US.
Yes I booked direct through the website and then modified over the phone.
Yes the reservation is correct, it is listed as room only.
It's really no big deal that it's due 30 days out, I'm not worried about it.

You are the one that seems to be getting upset, I just was concerned for you since in the last couple of decades or so of going to Disney as an adult I have never seen a room only have a balance date anything other than the actual due date.

So, there is this lovely feature on these boards where you can block specific posters. (Listed as posters to ignore.) You are more than welcome to block me as I have now done you.

I usually put down my deposit and then buy Disney gift cards at Kroger to pay it off so I can use the fuel points.
The only problem with that is if you cancel the $ goes back on the cards so be sure of your trip and save the cards in case of emergency.

Woo.. what a sea of responses. We do plan on booking a hotel and tickets, so that's the package deal.

Thanks! Disney, December 2017 here we come!

I'm willing to bet they booked Meg's reservation under a package code even though it's just a room - it makes it easier for them to add stuff later, let's people get the package extras, and it follows package policies.

It happens - not often, but it'd make sense in this situation.

We always book about 1 year out and then split the remainder of the payments over the course of the next 10 months so that it's paid off before the trip. Much easier than "saving" the $$ (because I would totally spend it, lol). We just work it into our monthly budget. :)

This is always our plan too. It helps make Disney much more affordable and doable. Sure, we aren't saving money, but $200 a month for a year is easier than $2000+ all at once.
