Airmiles for Universal studios

Hi there I'm looking to cash in my airmiles for the Universal Studios Florida 2 day park to park ticket. My question is - is this a hard ticket that is mailed (vs a voucher), and can I incorporate it into the fact that we will be staying on site there, and will be granted express pass access to the attractions (in other words do I have to buy my tickets direct from USF for the free express pass option for on site members?)
Thanks for any input
Martin

It is a hard 'paper' ticket.

The express pass is a separate picture ID you get at the hotel. If I remember correctly there is a kiosk where you insert your room key, it takes your picture and spits out a card with your picture and the valid dates. You show the express ID when you use the express line.

Does anyone have any idea how much to upgrade a Canadian Airmiles 2 days park to park ticket to 4 days? Thanks in advanced!

I don't know for certain but I would think for a rough estimate, go on the website and price the difference between the 2 and the 4 day ticket. I can't see it being much more or less. :)

It cost us an extra $10 per ticket to upgrade to three day tickets. I asked what the cost would be to upgrade to a fourth day and was told an additional $10 per ticket. I'm not 100% sure if that is accurate though since we didn't actually do it.

Gosh...I'm trying to find two day tickets on am for DW. I can't find anything less than the 3 day pass :worried: Maybe I'm not looking in the correct place

You're correct -- for WDW the ticket options are 3, 5 and 7 day passes ( best value is 5 day and then add extra days if you need at the gate for what amounts to around $15.00/day). Universal tickets are 2 day park-to-park ONLY.

Sorry Donald I've got to jump in here because it seems that people are under the impression that the 5 day is the best value. Not so.

Difference in AM between 5 and 7 day is 225AM (225/95*10=$23.68Cdn additional cost) (95AM = $10) The cost to upgrade at the park from a 5 to 7 day is $31.95US (397.37-373.68) taxes included. By purchasing the 7 day ticket from AM (assuming you want all 7 days) you will be saving money instead of paying in US dollars at the park.

(31.95*1.3=41.54Cdn) upgrade in park (US conversion 1.30)
vs (23.68Cdn) cost of extra AM at redemption

Plus if you get the 7 day you can book your fastpasses for all 7 days (30 or 60 days out).

There are many other reasons to get the 5 day pass and it is great value, just not best.

And the Duck bows to the Capitol momma! Once again you combine the confusing Disney math with the elusive Mile ratios with ease!

Airmiles only offers 2-Day park to park tickets for UO. Undercover Tourist offers 5-Day tickets. I plan to add days to the Airmiles ticket but UO only offers 4-Day tickets. Is it possible to add 3 days to an Airmiles 2-Day park to park ticket? I don't need a Season pass which is about $60 more. Also, how will the opening of Volcano Bay affect the ticket structure? Should I wait till later in 2017 to get my tickets for August?

Thanks in advanced for all your invaluable insights!

You can upgrade the tickets at the gate --- same as Disney tickets, once you've used one day you can either add the extra then or stop on your way out The tickets you receive will be non-expiring so i would recommend redeeming your AM as soon as you have enough to avoid a potential increase in miles needed. I think your best best would be to add the whatever amount to get an AP, but that's just my opinion!

Thanks Donald! I agree that I should get the tickets before price increase and then upgrade. Probably then the extra $60 is worthwhile if it includes entry to Volcano Bay. :thumbsup2

I only have enough airmiles for one UO ticket at this moment. I should have bought more Foodland GC in August. I didn't know whether I would buy regularly from Foodland and Sobey's, so I only got 2 GC. I need another 1600 airmiles for two UO tickets. To avoid possible increase in airmiles for the UO tickets, should I redeem one ticket now and another one later just in case? I prefer to do it all at once but I am not sure when I would get all the airmiles I need. I sure hope there is another Foodland GC offer soon. Pixie dust!!
