I might have to cancel our BCV studio for the first night of food and wine
It is now within the 30 day mark. I used barrowed points to book
I believe the points will go into holding if I cancel and I will have to use them before the end of the year correct ????

This is the first time I have ever had to cancle a trip ... Glad it is just for one night

You will have to use them before the end of your "use year," which would happen even if you cancelled 31 days or more out if the points were borrowed, but with holding points you can reserve only 60 days or less from an arrival date.

That might be difficult to snag but at least it's only one night

I might have jury duty ... I will not know until Monday night of that week

Just contact the jury clerk and request a later date. Explain that you booked your vacation months ago and no refunds allowed.

I would not cancel a previously booked trip for a jury notice that came AFTER I booked it. I would contact your local jury clerks office and ask for an extension and explain you will be out of town that week.

I agree with the previous posters. My DH did this when he received a jury summons for a date when we had a vacation already booked. He called immediately and explained the situation and was given a new date.

I hope you can reschedule jury duty. One time I was able to do so because of a previous commitment.

The one time I got a jury duty notice I also had a trip scheduled. They changed my duty to later.

It is actually my fault really.
I had to ask for them to reschedule my jury duty last spring and they did.
I totally forgot that it was set for Sept. 13th when I was luckey to get a night at the BCV for the 14th.
You can only reschedule one time so I will just call the night of the 12th to see if they need me.
