Pre cruise hotel for port canaveral

Any recommendations on a pre-cruise hotel for port canavernal? We are sailing with norweigan but figured many from here would have sailed out of this port for recommendations.

Also does the hotel have transfers from the airport and to the ship or did you rent a car or something else?

We nearly booked with Sheraton FourPoints in Canaveral but changed our plans (didn't stay in Canaveral at all).

I would look in the Ports of Call forums on the cruisecritic message boards for more ideas for FL departures.

We stayed at the Country Inn & Suites a couple years ago. Very happy with it. They did offer a shuttle, but the shuttle times were assigned, and IIRC, there was a cost associated with using it. I think most hotels in the area do that. We had a rental, so we dropped that off at Budget and they had a free shuttle to the port.

We usually do a one way car rental to/ from the airport. The car rental places have shuttles to and from the port. The one time we stayed in Port Canaveral we stayed at the Hilton in Cocoa Beach. It's a nice hotel and we lucked out with deals via priceline or hotwire (I can't remember which one we used).

If you're driving, some of the hotels near the port have packages that include parking for the week with free shuttles.

We stayed Radisson at the Port. The pool was great for the kids and it was close to the port. Really loved our stay there. We booked a park and cruise room, so our rental stayed parked while we were on the cruise and took a shuttle to and from the port.

Another vote for Country Inn & Suites. We stayed there in June for one night pre cruise. The shuttle was included in the room fee and there was a decent breakfast that was also included. This is the closest hotel to the ports.
