I was thinking about getting my DD8 a Gryffindor HP robe when we are there in October (she wants to be HP for Halloween). I saw that they are over $100 . My question is, are they better quality than one I can order on Amazon? Or are they just marked way up because they are at the parks? Maybe I'll check ebay before we go.

I'm having trouble finding HP stuff for girls, cute t-shirts or dresses especially. There is plenty of adults stuff, and even juniors, but not much for kids. I guess I'm a few years too late??

yes they are better quality, no you are not late they keep the hp stuff the same for both genders because it might be easier.

They are terrific quality. DS has had his sincere was 6 and the only reason he doesn't wear it anymore is that it goes to his knees. It's absolutely perfect though.

It's well worth the money. Don't tell him that though because he wants a replacement lol.

Well, why not just have them wear the adult shirts? Or, are they still too small to fit a small ladies or men's shirt? Have you looked in the Target Junior's section? Their smalls would fit my cats, lol. Also check the men's and boy's section. A lot of the cooler tshirts are there. If they like it and it fits who cares what section it was found in. I've found Harry Potter things in all kinds of sizes on Amazon and at Hot Topic if Target doesn't work out. Happy hunting!

Thanks for the advice! Sounds like it might be worth it to shell out for the nice robe. As far as the other merchandise, I have no problem buying her boys/juniors/whatever, but she's only 8, and thin, and generally even junior smalls are way too big! I'm sure we will find something though. I will check out Hot Topic and see if they run really small!

One more question- does anyone know if it's possible to buy the owl plush at Cabana Bay without having the Harry Potter package? I saw that the other day and thought it was such a cute way to welcome you to the hotel.

They are fabulous quality for sure. Well worth the money.........

I've bought a few over the years for friends and relatives kids and everyone of them is still like brand new.........would still be perfect for them if they didn't go grow so fast........lol..........

I'd try Etsy before spending $100. I've been able to special order a number of customized things for trips from there, and you could have some input into how the robes looked, color, fabric, etc. Especially, if you are looking for something more girly and are worried about fit.

Oooh, thanks for the discount tips! I have AAA and Amex.

I have looked on Etsy, but in general their robes are actually even more than the Universal ones. I did find a super cute pair of HP leggings and an HP bow though. I have to limit my time on there, it's too dangerous!

I finally found girls HP shirts for DD4 at Kohl's. I found things for ODS7, DH, and I at Target and Hot Topic and Kohl's too. YDS2 only Etsy...
We got $20 robes on Amazon and they are not great. The kids have enjoyed them the last couple months but I would still consider the park ones as I've only read good things about them. I just worry it will be too hot for the kids to wear them while we are there.
