I saw a thread for last season but I am looking to see if there is anyone applying for spring 2017. I have my phone interview scheduled for next week and I am hoping there are other adults especially women applying.

I'm applying for the Spring Advantage CP now! I am a little older myself (I'm 27), but I am applying for the CP as a backup since I will be applying for PI's as well. I am starting Graduate School in one week; which is why I am applying for PI's.

I'm a little older than that . Good luck with the PI. I think I will apply for one of those next fall.

I am really old- most folks in my age group are snowbirds, LOL- but I am taking a class or two this fall and am thinking about doing the CP. If I am taking 2 night classes while working full-time, would Disney even consider me to be a student? The CP is sort-of a dream, but I feel like I still have one big adventure left, and maybe the CP is IT!

Hello everyone! I just wanted to wish you all luck on your PI. I am also older (35) and applied for the college program and have my interview next week.

Wow this is a great thread since I've been feeling a little out of place applying for internships (I'm 26). I have recently started a new academic program with Disney in mind because I felt that an internship was the best way begin a new journey with them.
So are folks applying to both the college program and PI's? It'd be great if you could keep us posted on your progress! I know I'm very anxious about hearing back as I have a lot of eggs in this basket in the sense that it would truly be a dream come true to begin a professional career with a company that I love so much!

How has the application process been for you guys so far? Any news yet?

I had my interview this past Monday. Now I wait.....

How was the phone interview? Were they asking general questions? What degree are you pursuing (if you're comfortable sharing). Also are you applying for the college program or a professional internship. I'm new to the process so I have a lot of questions and I'm exhausting all of my resources to get them answered. Anything you can offer would be a great help!

Speaking from a PI perspective, 26 is definitely not uncommon!

Just on my team the past 6 interns in our area (including me) have had ages ranging from 21-34, with only 2 of us being just out of undergrad. The other 4 were 26, 29, 29, and 34 and all in masters programs.

My area may be an anomaly (there are plenty just coming out of undergrad) but it seems to be common for PI's to have a wide age range

This is such a stress relief! I was worried that I would be out of place or that they would think I was getting a late start or something. I'm excited to hear back! I'm holding my breath until then!

I am so excited to read this. I just got accepted into the Spring 2017 program and was really hoping to find other "non traditional" (I'm in my forties) students that were going to be there! Good luck everyone & please let me know when you'll be there

Congrats on your acceptance! What position will you be doing?

Really? Thats awesome!! My arrival date is Jan 10, whats yours? Are you going to live in housing or offsite?
I do have a facebook, I'll join! Thanks!
I have future roommate that is in her 30's. We choose the 23th. She just got her acceptance today and that was the earliest date for her.

I know this thread is older but I applied for the program and I am 26. My phone interview is on Monday! Congratulations on being accepted!

Hi all!

I'm 28 and was just accepted to the program. I'm taking some undergrad classes online, but I already have my degree so I might be looking at grad school at UCF. I'm thinking about making the permanent move from the Boulder, CO area to Orlando (even though it seems like everyone is coming to Colorado...).

I'm doing custodial as well -- maybe looking to do a PI after :)
