At the NON-early-entry park, who gets in first?

For the park that DOESN'T have early entry on a given day, do rope droppers at the later-opening park get in to the rides first? Or are they beaten to the rides by people who go to the EE park and then take the first Hogwarts Express train over?

Trying to strategize how to best go about doing Skull Island on our upcoming trip in mid-September. USF opens at 7 for EE and IoA opens at 9.

Well, thanks for the heads-up that they finally released the early hours. I've been watching for those. Are you going on a weekend? Personally, I can't imagine it would make much difference either way, should still have a short wait to get on the ride.

I do find it odd that IOA opens at 7 AM mid-month and the early entry at US is 8:00 for Labor Day weekend

My wife and I will be there Thurs 9/15 (arriving mid-day) through Sun 9/18. The day I'm mostly concerned about is Sat 9/17; my brother-in-law and his wife are joining us for Fri/Sat + HHN and it will be their first time to Universal.

We'll be off-site, so we'll show up at IoA before 9 AM for opening there on 9/17. This will be the first time I've been since Kong opened, so I'm not sure what to expect for crowds at opening.

On 9/17 USF opens to everyone at 8am. So when IOA opens at 9, USF will already have both EE people who've been there for two hours and RD people who've been there for one hour.

It's US that opens early mid month and that's because HHN will close the park early, so it gives goers an extra hour. IOA opens at 9am starting Sept. 16. It stays open later since it does not have HHN.

Early entry is at 8 am IOA for Labor Day weekend. There is not early entry at US for Labor Day weekend.

The starred park DOES NOT have early admission.

Yeah, I have that calendar bookmarked, I am just color challenged. My general point was that I find it odd that the EE is 7 AM mid-month and the EE is 8 AM labor day weekend, whatever park it is! USF does not close early every day of the week for HHN, I wish it was open later than 7 PM the one night we'll be there.

Strange, US closes early one Friday for the Music thing and it doesn't open early on that day. Not a huge deal for me (we have 9 days) but seems strange that they give an extra hour in the morning for HHN but not the music festival.

Are you talking about rock the universe ?

here is your answer op. the Hogwarts express will NOT bring people to ioa before the front gate opens. therefore, you can get into ioa and go right to kong before the ee people at us get there. we have done this for gringotts when ioa had ee. we lined up at us for regular opening and killed it getting to gringotts before the Hogwarts express were bringing people over from ioa. and most likely the gates will open 10-15 minutes before the scheduled time. so be ready!!! and have fun.

I think it is just easier for them to keep it all scheduled the same way through HHN whether or not HHN is occurring that night. The EE at 7am at Universal the same from mid September to the beginning of November when EE goes back to IOA.
