Jedi Training

^^ What pp said. We were there just a couple months ago and sign-ups were in advance, which started right at park opening. There was a decent group of people that headed straight from rope drop to sign-ups.

Can you sign up during Magic Mornings or do you have to wait until the regular park opening?

I can't confirm about sign-ups during MM but I think I've read on here that they allow a certain number during MM but not all spots for each show. If you are wanting a later show then I wouldn't worry about going to it right away. I took DS around 10:15 on a 8am Sunday morning park opening and we picked the 2:30 show. The two shows after that were also available. The sign up area is a little hidden unless you know where to look, it's up the ramp by the Launch Bay exit. Just head toward Autopia, look to your right and you'll see a sign on the ramp.

I thought I had read that you could do sign up for Jedi Training during MM. Would like to get that out of the way early if I could on MM before the park really gets crowded.

We were there 2 weeks ago and you could not sign up until the park opened. Also, all children who want to participate must be there. They talk to the kids a bit to make sure they are ok with strangers, etc. before letting them sign up. When I brought the kids over at the time they told us to gather (about 30 minutes before showtime), a woman was trying to get her kids in and she was MAD when they told her that all the spots for the day were gone.

When you sign up, do you choose what time slot you want or is it like a Fastpass where you get whatever is next available?
Also, is every child that signs up automatically in the show or do they do a lottery from the list of sign-ups?

I was also there a few weeks ago and was able to get my friend and his daughter signed up during MM. But this was near the tail end of MM, about 10-15 minutes before the park opened so maybe they don't take sign ups right at the start of MM?

Yes you choose the show time you want and all kids that signup are in the show.

WE just got back and I can tell you....
You can sign up during MM but be aware that some people will send the parents ahead to hold a spot (makes me mad) however both the parent and child must be present at time of signup....
So there was a lady in front of my daughter and all the sudden 3 kids pass us saying "excuse me my mom is right there: :/
But my daughter got an early spot and we got it done on day 2 like we had planned :)
They give you a paper and tell you "you lose this you lose your spot" basically.

Thanks for all the info, I'm headed with the kids in October and want to make sure they have the opportunity.

Can anyone tell me how long the experience will take (the actual training part, not the sign-ups). For example, if my time is 10am what time can I expect to be done? And how early do you need to arrive before your time? Thanks!

We were told to return 25 min prior to the start of the show with a grace period of no less than 15 min prior, this is so the kids can get dressed and be given instructions. Once the show starts I believe it's 20 min long.
