Rumor: New-different Frozen Ride to be built in Disneyland

I reread their post. Nothing incorrect about it. The new fantasyland is grander. It's actually quite grand. you do a dis-service to yourself and the the truth by describing it the way you do.

I suppose that depends on you're definition of "grand"

Rebuilding/relocating rides onto the site of a mothballed 1999 ride and toontown doesn't hit my "grand" nerve.

It's a nice, but ultimately operationally necessary refurb...not "grand"

...I always service the truth...which doesn't require effusive praise as a prerequisite...

Ugh, they need to just stop with the Frozen stuff. The new show was fine but I've seen it once and I'm done, nothing going to change there to get me to see it again. Aladdin was a different show every time you saw it and that was built into the 'script'. I want my Aladdin back!

I don't know about the Little Mermaid in WDW, but the one here is really half a ride. If you try to get the story from the ride, it's missing the whole second half. Blah! They really need to try a little harder.

The one in WDW is exactly the same - an 8 minute synopsis of the "most popular songs"

No story...a minor amusement with little reridability...

So is the "new" frozen ride in Epcot...only more jury rigged

That's too bad, the parts that they did look really cute (except maybe freaky Ariel, but they tried to fix her). I guess since there's no songs in the action-y part of the story, they just skipped that whole thing.

To be extra fair, Disneyland did their Fantasyland expansion first, in 1983, where each attraction building was given a unique exterior and queue. :teacher:

to be doubly extra fair, is that really a significant expansion or just an update/refurbishment? I mean, the WDW fantasyland expansion basically doubled the size of Fantasyland

A new attraction was built, so I would classify it as a significant expansion rather than a refurbishment, though admittedly not as large as the Magic Kingdom's.

The statute of limitations on an "expansion" runs out in under 33 years in amusement park terms...

That's like me saying "they just opened wonders of life last week..."

Count me as one of those who wishes Zootopia was getting more momentum in the parks. I know it didn't sell merch, but considering the movie did so well it seems like a shame to come to the parks and find basically nothing Zootopia-related. I keep hoping AK picks up the slack there-- I can see it fitting in very nicely with the godawful waste of 40 minutes that is the Maharajah Jungle Trek.

I think a Frozen ride in Disneyland was inevitable. Movies with the popularity of Frozen come along once every few decades, so it's hard to blame the Mouse for wanting to strike while the iron is hot, especially since we know they're making a sequel as we speak.

This is just another big fat lie!

NONE of Toontown is going away and no Frozen ride is coming to DL!

Expect a Toontown expansion instead!
